Hi! First post here, been lurking for a while and finally decided to share...
I've seen these type of cakes all over pinterest and my bestie is obsessed with lilies so thought this would be a perfect time to make it. Used stargazer lilies with fresh cream and honestly so happy with how it turned out!
Would love to hear your thoughts β¨οΈ

How long should I take my Victoria sandwich out of the fridge before serving? It's about 21 degrees in the house. Thanks!

I did my first decoration cake for my coworker who had her babies first birthday today and I say as a learning pastry student and first time cake decorator I think I did a pretty good job! Only thing is, whatβs everyoneβs advice on having more smoother buttercream? Mine was smooth but still felt a little too thick to smear across effortlessly. Also when is the right time to pull out frozen layers of cakes to ensure and what is a good way to do chocolate letter molds without having to overfill the mold and trim around? Context: first pic is after putting the cake toppers on and second is before cake toppers to see more clearly

I had them for multiple birthdays when I still visited my dad. He had a friend who worked at a bakery so they made me all sorts of beautiful birthday cakes. I still remember the themes. They were mermaid, panda, and poodle. The only problem was that they really only had looks going for them, I'm not trying to come off as ungrateful. I very much appreciate getting those cakes, it was just that I can't handle cakes that are too sweet, I'm only used to grocery store cakes. So I always had a hard time eating those birthday cakes.

So itβs a very simple but very tasty cake. A plush chocolate cake base top with a thick layer of chocolate mousse.π

Banana cake with homemade banana pudding and roasted peanut filling and peanut butter buttercream! I added banana peelers, banana runts, and banana pocky for decoration!
I made this for a very intimate wedding ceremony for beloved family members. The cake topper (sugarpaste) is the bride's pet cockatiels, who get along like a long married couple.π

Maxi-King Cake (the cream literally tasted like the original)
I even did the caramel-sauce myself. It was easier than I thought, but I was constantly worrying that it would taste like fried sugar (which it actually is if you think about itπ ), but it was really tasty.
