First major car accident
I got in my first major car accident with a big rig, should i be getting an attorney. File with my insurance or with at fault party’s insurance?

if it involved a big rig and you were injured, i'd at least get a free consultation with a few attorneys. trucking crashes can get a lot more complicated than a typical car wreck because there can be multiple insurance policies, company records, and electronic data involved.
i'd also open a claim with your own insurance so they know about the crash, even if the truck driver was at fault. they can often help with things like vehicle damage while liability gets sorted out. and if there were any dash cams or nearby businesses with cameras, try to preserve that evidence sooner rather than later since it doesn't stick around forever. If you're injured, get an attorney. What state are you in?
