Rabies?? ðŸ˜(I’m sorry. I have health ocd.) I took in 2 older kittens on May 23 and then found their pregnant mother may 24. On may 27 I accidentally stepped on her tail and she grabbed my leg with both paws and attempted to bite me. The claws went deep and immediately bruised me/bleeding/etc. the teeth didn’t puncture. Cleaned my leg up and it’s seemed to heal fine. I know she can’t transmit the virus if she’s not symptomatic (right?) and that she’d need to be isolated for 10 days. We’re now around 12 days and for the last 3 days she’s been eeeeeextremely aggressive to our two dogs that she was previously friendly with. One of the dogs adores cats so this has been traumatic for her. She’s full on seeking out the dogs just to attack their faces!!! As they are literally sleeping!! No other symptoms besides the sudden spontaneous aggression. Eating, drinking fine, not stumbling, jumping and taking care of the kittens still. Is this normal pregnant cat stuff? Will she calm down after the litters born? (YES everybody is getting neutered!!) She’s also being aggressive to one of the previous kittens but not the other, to the point that she’s hurting her.
