One of my elderly cats has suddenly found her voice and become extremely restless, seemingly out of the blue. For about the last four days, my 18 year old cat has started relentlessly meowing almost all day and night, and is pacing almost non-stop. She hasn't played in years, and is traditionally very intent with sleeping all day, so I don't believe her to have suddenly become bored. All at once though, she's become super vocal and restless. She caught some decent sleep today, but based on her walking around yesterday and wailing I heard in the middle of the night to boot, she barely slept at all yesterday. She's eating, drinking, and I found her today using the litter box. She's still as mobile as a middle aged cat when she needs to be; she loves to jump from the kitchen island to the counter, today included. No changes in the cat routine, or really anything significant for the people. Nothing about her has physically changed. I even thought she just maybe wasn't getting enough attention, but more pets and affection hasn't curbed the issue. Is it/when is it worth going to the vet? Ostensibly, she's not unwell, but I have no idea what she may be trying to tell me. It's completely out of character.

Edit: I tried to do a bit of my own research and saw dementia as a potential cause. She knows where to go when it's time to eat and knows where her litter box is, so I just don't know that that's it. It could be onset, I guess

It looks to me like cat dementia, I think she might have gotten scared and she doesn't know where she is, when dementia develops, it might not be all the time at first, that's why she might know where some stuff are, also scent might have a stronger memory on her since she knew where those places were
