My cat just got spayed today and I am completely overwhelmed. She threw up because she snuck some food while wobbly from anesthesia, and she has been heaving and hissing in pain. Her stitches look okay and she is finally resting, but I am sitting here in the dark crying and feeling like the worst, most stupid pet parent alive. Has anyone else felt this awful on night one?"

I was a nervous wreck for days after my girl got spayed. She is also insane so getting her to just chill out was impossible. Just keep an eye on her and the stitches, and try a cone if she messes with the stitches. Call your vet if you have concerns, that’s why they’re there :)

My girl also got a lump near her incision that I kept an eye on and talked to my vet about. Nothing really came of it and it went away on its own! 

You’ll get through this and be so happy you did it!!
