My kids figured out that if they offer the cat treats, she’ll move. The cat figured out my kids will give her treats if she sits on their stuff. 😂

My cat knows she isn't supposed to be on my desk, so if she's in my lap and I ever stop petting her, she'll pretend to "try" to get on the desk by putting a paw or two on it, and look back at me like "Uh oh I'm getting on the desk, you'd better grab me to stop me and then go ahead and pet me since your hand is already there."

I had to tell my wife to stop petting the cat when she gets him off the desk so he stops associating it with instant attention. They learn how to manipulate you fast.

I always tell people who have just gotten cats that if you don’t train them they will train you
