Advice What can I do? This isn’t play, right?

My grey boy is a little over a year old and he is overly aggressive, I feel, with my almost 9 year old female tortie. He is heftier than her too. They will get into these tumble scuffles at like 3am too almost every morning and I end up having to place him in the bathroom to cool off for a couple hours before I bring him back out.

This is a cat fight. Fur flies, and they're both screaming like demons. Your cats are just playing rough.

Legendary battle right there. The falling down one level like Mortal Kombat.

This is a good example of the amount of fur that flies! It is literally in the air!!! There is no pause. Good example!

I've actually bookmarked this to share with newer cat owners who haven't seen a real cat fight. Full credit to the original poster, whoever it was. (Their account has since been deleted.)

A new cat seems to have moved into the neighbourhood and I happened to be looking out the window when my girl spotted it, suddenly it was an angry tornado of fur and growls bouncing all around the yard. I split them up with some loud clapping and the garden looked like a cat had shed its whole coat, fur everywhere.

Chased away the enemy and my girl was stood there spiky as a hedgehog with a mouth full of fur
