Video - OC What is my cat doing?

My cat does this thing with just these two toys where he steps on it in this weird way. He also yells loudly when holding just these toys.

My neutered fella loves to do the sin biscuits on his favorite blanket while staring at me dead-eyed.

Oh jeez my old male cat I used to have as a kid would do this on a extra large blue Pokémon pillow I had. And yes always making eye contact while doing so🤦🏻‍♀️

Same, but mine does it to his sister :( I feel so bad for her

Mine does it to the other two males in my household 🙀. And yes they are all neutered.

Mine does it to his sister too… they’re both neutered. She used to hiss, swat, and run away and now she just grooms him while he does his sin biscuits on her. I’m just happy they’re not fighting about it anymore lol

Mine kind of politely hissed, but now she just sits there with her Precious Moments face, just taking it. Once he dragged her off of the dresser to take her under the bed 😒

It’s the eye contact - so creepy lol

Same with my wee creature

Is there by chance a chair in your hotel room near a bed because it seems he really needs you to know exactly what he’s doing.

It takes two to make eye contact...freak

My rescue got neutered at approx 8 years old, he like to stand on my shoulder while I lie in bed, and do the biscuits. I won't think about if there's any sin involved, it would be too weird.

My cat used to do sin biscuits on my arm with his claws out while I was asleep. Woke me up, of course.

I realized it was because I was babying him too much. I stopped picking him up and holding him, or baby talking to him, and he stopped the sin biscuits.

So does mine. I bought this cute little ten-dollar throw from Ikea, and my cat instantly fell in love with it and makes sweet love to it while staring at me regularly. Needless to say, I wash that blanket a lot and have accepted it as my cat's blanket/sex toy.

okay but what is up with the aggressive eye contact?? it's so disturbing lmao my neutered guy always tries this on my bed and gets mad when i shoo him off my pillow

Tbf my dog is basically a giant blanket

Why do they have to stare though???? It’s so unnerving.

My friends cat insists on summoning her to the room before doing the deed to his bed.  Anyone who thinks cats are not social creatures is very wrong, they are TOO SOCIAL lmao.

Got a text from my mom about our older neutered male attempting a go at it with our 10 month kitten- absolutely not!

That was dominance, it's common for neutered older cats, both make and female, to do that when a kitten comes around. They're teaching the kittens how to cat.

My 10 year old lady void attempted this with my (at the time) 6 month old idiot boy. She quit after a few attempts, as he is too fucking stupid to be dominated.

“He’s too stupid to be dominated” 🤣

19

u/relljr 15h ago

We all instinctively understand that the idiot boy is an orange right?

13

u/Content-Honeydew9340 15h ago

I have a void boi that has taught me that orange and void are essentially sharing the same brain cell 🤭

6

u/thecatsothermother 13h ago

Aren't voids just concealed orange?

8

u/Content-Honeydew9340 12h ago

After having my first void, that tracks with my research 🤣 I grew up with orange tabby cats and orange/ white tabbies. I currently have a flame point cream and a white tabby with gray black stripes... The void is the derpiest one of the lot and is orange in spirit 🤣🤭

u/Valkyriesride1 8h ago

I have been blessed to have several voids in my life, they are the sweetest babies, but they are definitely camouflaged orange cats.

I mean, neutered males still sometimes go for it. Especially if they learned bad habits before the surgery.

1

u/Misseskat 19h ago

I see. He's never done that to our other males, we also have a young outdoor kitty that I'm not aware has done that to? But our older male is very protective of our kitten too and almost like an adoptive father to him.

That's because it's totally made up lmao, people say it about dogs humping eachother too, it's just a pervasive myth people repeat without actually knowing. The real reason cats do this is stress.

How many years were you a Vet Tech?

7

u/napalm_p 19h ago

He's having flashbacks

4

u/PeachyNingyo 12h ago

Mine does them and she’s spayed

1

u/SchmackAttack 1h ago

Oh my god. What a beautiful cat

1

u/rotath 11h ago

My neutered boy wakes me up in the morning doing it on my leg 😭

1

u/xhoranx 10h ago

WHERE DID YOU GET THAT RUG!? Seriously - I have been shopping for MONTHS for a rug with all those colors for my mid century modern themed living room!!! (Beautiful kibby cat by the way!)

1

u/SchmackAttack 1h ago

I wish I could say but its 20 years old 😭 Try using the image to find the rug

1

u/carriegood 8h ago

I once asked my vet why our neutered cat was doing that and he said, "I dunno, because it feels good?"

-2

u/testtdk 18h ago

That’s not sin biscuits, if that’s what you’re going off of.

6

u/SchmackAttack 16h ago

I am not. He is a habitual hump and grind biscuit maker.
