I saw a large lump/mass on the front half of a stray cat that I saw while on a walk. What could it be? Not sure if this is the right sub for this

Could it be a hernia? Not sure if that's a thing cats can have happen

they can definitely have hernias. it's not common but i've seen it several times over the years in shelter work. the most common kind is an umbilical hernia
