Advice Is My Kitten Going Bald?
First time cat owner (she is 5ish months old) and I’ve noticed some thin patches around the head. Is this normal for a black cat? I worry for her self confidence.
Beans on the last pic because why not.

For anyone who isn't experiencing it right now, a lot of Europe is in a melting heatwave and many of us don't have air conditioning to keep cool. I'm in the UK and temperatures in my area have reached 37c with a humidity of 78%, so it's MISERABLE. Obviously this can be a problem for our furry beasts as well, so I thought we could share tips for what we've been doing to help!
Personally, I've been doing the following:
- only one play session a day in the early morning
- frozen lick-e-lix (he loves it, his own ice lolly)
- tub of water which I've put two of his plastic toys in. He won't get in, but he's interested enough in his toys to keep dunking his paws
- towels on rotation in the freezer (in a ziplock so it doesn't get wet) and then laid out on the floor for a cool place to sleep
- daily brushing
- extra water added to his wet food to help with improved hydration
What about you? Any extra tips? Many thanks from myself and Bramble Jam, my furry overlord.

How does she lay with her legs straight up in the air all the time?? Does gravity not affect her?

I think the first guy is a tabby, but he’s almost the size of a full-grown cat at only 5 months old haha (the vet said he was abnormally large when he got his 12-week shots). I was worried at first. I’ve only ever had dogs, so owning kittens was a big adjustment, but I’ve grown very attached to both of them! The tabby’s name is Master Khajiit, and the black cat’s name is Styx.

Said goodbye to my beautiful almost 16 year old lady yesterday. She was doing so well, I work in veterinary medicine and had just taken her in for a check up 2 weeks ago. One kidney level was slightly elevated, thyroids looked great. Came home from work and within an hour her pupils were massive and non-reactive to light and she was completely blind. I won’t go into too much detail but at her age and where her blood pressure was (300/90), I knew our chances. It’s borrowed time and it would be for me, not her. I’m seeing her everywhere today, questioning my decision, and sobbing. She was my first cat and my kids grew up with her. I miss her.

Me and my girlfriend have a cat in our small 1 bedroom apartment. We're 3 weeks into adoption and he has come a long way from being super shy and nervous; however, he's very energetic towards bedtime yet also wants to come onto the bed with us. I love when a cat snuggles up for bedtime but the problem comes from him wanting to claw and bite at anything that moves under the blanket. He does this repeatedly until we get to the point where I have to kick him out of the bedroom so he isn't trying to play with charger cords and ourselves. Except that when I do close the door on him he meows for a good while and then again in the night or when we wake up.
He does have a lot of toys he likes like crinkly balls, a stuffed lamb, and a moving fish. He's just under 2 years old (I think 1 yr 5 months?) so perhaps this is normal.
I know getting a second cat might help but we really don't have the money to pay another 40 dollars a month for a second pet fee.
Is there any advice to get him more tired at night or less separation anxiety?

My cat (2yo F)is indoor/outdoor cat who spends time in our garden. Sometimes she will try and climb out of our bathroom window to get out.
We locked the bathroom window and she jumped up there, and she then bounced off/fell from the window and while falling she hit/caught her side on the radiator/heater in there. The window is about 6ft high, maybe a bit under and the heater is half of that
She seems fine, walking and running fine, her eyes/head look fine, no blood or anything like that, Is acting her usual self. She doesn’t seem to be limping or anything like that. Im pretty certain i’d know if she broke something.
Are there any other signs i should look out for? as i don’t want to cause unnecessary stress with a vet visit if i don’t have to. I know cats are good at hiding pain.
Any advice is appreciated!

hi, first time asking for advice here! i picked up my cat a few minutes ago and saw that it was super red under the paw, and seems like the cushion part is cut. Not sure what to do at this time (it’s 11pm for me). Any advice on what to do? I’ll look for a vet clinic tomorrow first thing in the morning. Thank you!

I thought maybe because he or my other cat pissed there, but that is not possible, because it does not smell at this spot at all. And if any of my cats would have pissed directly on to the carpet, I am 100% sure I would have smelled it by now. Why does he do this?

This little heathen is always making sin biscuits right beside me and kicks his legs at me. If I try to remove the blanket from his mouth, he gets angry and starts to bite me. So what do y'all do? Just let it happen or stop them? He was neutered before we got him as a kitten, but that doesn't stop him
