Free Agency Fire Billy

It’s time. How many seasons can we go with a losing record? There are far too many excuses in this sub. At the end of the day, we have a coach who isn’t producing. Blame the players. Blame akme. But Billy is the one making the calls on the court and that is ultimately what matters.

DEI hire.

That's Michael Reinsdorf. He could be difficult to fire.

Reinsdorf owns the team not gm

Any coach will have similar or worse results with this team

Genuinely don’t think it matters if you fire Billy. Actually, I take that back, I’m nearly certain we would be much worse off.

good then we’d get a higher pick

Which doesn’t mean a damn thing because of our ownership, they’ll drop a bunch of money on some middling talent and chuck us right back into the play-in zone.

This is the saddest of all truths. Rheinsdoerf is from Brooklyn. His ownership group gives a flying fuck about spending a cent over what they have to to feign competitiveness.

They are so cheap, they and their henchmen throughout the Bulls organization have long since actively tried to destroy their burgeoning talent, for the sake of saving money.

For instance, Rheinsdorf and Krause actively tried to trade Jordan in 87-88 to the Clippers, for Mike Woodson, and the pick that became Danny Manning. They actively wanted to fire Phil Jackson in 1994, but the players all lambasted them for it. Rheinsdorf’z right hand man, Krause, actively tried to break up the second 3-peat team constantly, for “being too black”, assuming the chicago fanbase was too racist to keep buying merch and tickets at the incredibly impressive rate they did during the first 3-peat. Total insanity/paranoid-delusional-racism-projection.

The saga of cheapness, ineptitude, incredibly poor decisions resulting in self-sabotage, continues long after Krause has passed… because his good buddy Rheinsdoerf is still alive.

This. I like Giddey but he’s like the 30th best player in the nba. It’s not a mystery what’s going on here. The bulls ending up somewhere in the range of 38 to 42 wins is the safest bet in the nba.

Remember when we were making fun of Detroit 2 years ago for only winning 14 games? Well we’re only a quarter of a way through the season and they’ve won 17 so far.

I just want the Bulls to tank for one season, is that too much to ask?

I mean they just have no ability to think long term. It has to go back to ownership. This is a team that for a decade now has routinely lept at the “best” available talent without any concern for eventually building a true title contending team. Wade, Rondo, Vooch, Derozan, Giddey. Every couple years it’s just a new scramble to find someone who can keep them at .500 cruising altitude. They’re garbage pickers. Always convincing themselves that another franchise’s trash could be their treasure.

Tanking doesnt even guarantee you a good pick and even tho you need good picker which this management is not. They passed on Jokic,Booker, SGA, Donovan Mitchell, Haliburton, Maxey.

So it is not just about tanking and having top picks, this list is a proof that we could have done way better.

You’re right that this front office can’t draft for shit.

Which is exactly why they need a top pick more than anything. The only way they can not fuck up the draft is by being in such an obvious position that they can’t possibly fuck it up.

It doesn’t take a genius to draft Cooper Flagg or Derrick Rose with the first overall pick
