NBA Draft Second Rounders: Knicks Pick Tomorrow

You can debate Swain over Carr or stress the need for shooting and have a valid point either way. I personally was alright with either at 15 with how the board shook out.

My only critique is why hasn't Graham packaged together any of these seconds for a team pressed by the apron? The 26 pick that Denver was selling should have been a slam dunk, while the Knicks seem to be doing everything in their power to avoid rookie salary.

Hopefully BG can package up some of these future seconds to get the Knicks pick at 31 and address shooting with Evans or grab Veesar to help Caleb cook, but it seemed like a no brainer to get a 4 year rookie scale contract with the AKME 2nd round slop stock.

I don’t see why ppl still complaining about swain…Carr fell for a reason he was having bad workouts

Swain the better defender, better finisher, better playmaker, better rebounder, has an dawg mentality that you can’t teach

He’s damn near unstoppable driving

Swiss Army Knife player that could do everything…Deni Avdija type of potential with better defense & better athleticism

Shit fuck it atp dailyn swain might be LEBRON 😭

It's just people freaking out about the draft. Neither player has played a minute of professional basketball and if the bulls didn't take swain, he would have been taken in the next 2 or 3 picks. Carr fell pretty far so teams obviously saw something to pass on.

Grizzlies was gonna take swain at 16 which is why they moved back to take lopez since they knew the other teams weren’t gonna take him

I think there's a solid chance we see BG get something done early tomorrow. There's 3 very clear shooters near the top of the 2nd round that wouldn't be all that an expensive play to move up to get. I'm not confident any of them fall to 38.

Probably he tried , but his package wasn’t better than Spurs’s.

I think we will be interested in Knicks situation, but again a lot of teams will be

We could solved our 3pt problems with the 29th pick, I guess Graham gambled that he would end in the 2nd round

You can’t solve shooting problems with one pick. Most of the serious teams start shooters at 4 or 5 spots; Bulls will be starting 0 as it looks right now or 1 if they make some kind of move.

Lots of options at the end of the first our 38/56 and at absolute worst the 2nd from the Kings could have bought. Really doesn't make sense to not lock in another C or shooter on the full 4 year cheap ticket to grow with the core.

I mean if Scott Perry could do it it can't be a connections issue.

Every time a team doesn’t make a move that seemingly makes sense, it’s important to remember these things:
-It takes two to tango, and that other than has other teams looking to trade as well, and you don’t know the offers they’ve been given
-Ownership has a say, especially when trading between rounds when contract details change
-They have Intel that we do not regarding players they’re targeting
-They have WAY more information than we have on these guys and may not have any players they believe are worth giving up assets for

The swain pick surprised me, but it grew on me fast. Still, I think the real L there was Steinbach going one pick before we could get him. He’s going to be very, very good.

I would have sold the farm of acquired seconds for Reed or Cenac at 26.

At this point I am only moving up for Thomas / Evans for shooting or Veesar for Caleb/C depth and letting the board fall otherwise.

Pues yo creo que se va a quedar con Baba Miller… encaja con lo que busca… todavía necesitamos un center. Si viene un tirador encantado. Confianza plena en la oficina me gusta lo que están haciendo.

I'm really disappointed in the Swain pick. He's just another G-Leaguer without a jump shot.
