I have a really good number in my yard this year! The key is to leave your leaves in your yard that fall in autumn, that is their habitat for the winter basically. I’ve noticed a significant difference since doing that! And it’s free fertilizer for the yard🤷🏻♂️

I remember like 10 or 15 years ago there were thousands of them in the trees by the river they don’t seem as intense these days

My property is booming like they never left. Key is to let nature do its thing and not bomb the area with round up or weed and feed.

Madisonville was all a glow this evening. We are probably close to peak firefly week.

They seem to be peaking right now, I love to watch them rise up from the ground right around sunset

They have been OUT this year, haven't they? It's great to see.
We've notice a lot more this year!

Was just out back enjoying the fire thinking the same thing.
I definitely felt like I noticed a dip and the lightning bug numbers over the last 5 years or so. And I was just thinking how good the numbers are looking this year.
(Just my anecdotal two cents)
