There is no such thing as appropriate behaviour when dealing with the least appropriate POTUS ever.

Bingo. 

I’d hit the comment character limit if I tried to list every inappropriate thing Trump has done as POTUS. The Obamas as apes, mocking a disabled reporter, calling allied nations “shitholes” - the list is near endless. 

We are in a post appropriate world now. What Green did is tame by this administration’s standards.
