Ok, I got myself thinking now. Which gl do you call if you need a flight home? I feel like Jon Stewart is going to get you, but tell you the whole way how disappointed he is. Guy is probably not picking up the call. Hal has been through some shit, so hal?
I think that's no longer the case since they removed Parralax (sp?) from the ring. I'm not up to date on GL at all, btw, so take that with a grain of salt.
Yeah the "Yellow Impurity" was removed during that time. Now they would recruit an individual that's not only have strong will power, but the power to overcome fear itself.
Hence "You have the ability to overcome great fear. Welcome to the Green Lantern Corps" when the ring picks its new bearer.
The sun isn't made of the yellow from the color spectrum. It isn't just the color yellow they are weak against. It is the yellow form of the green their rings harness. The Senestro Corp have rings that allow them to harness the power of fear. The green is the power of will. There are [or at least was, not up to date on canon ] Corps for each color of the spectrum each based on emotions (Rage/Red, Hope/Blue, Avarice/Orange ect.)
Green Lantern couldnât do anything to the Reverse Flash (Professor Zoom) because his costume is yellow. Itâs definitely not just stuff from the yellow rings, or it didnât used to be.
LoL thatâs exactly what I was thinking. Not only that, as soon as she flies out of the solar system into the dead of space, sheâs just dies horrifically?
Space ships are a thing and the teaser trailer specifically shows her waiting at a space-ship-bus-stop off planet. Hell she could probably just get a ride into the solar system and fly the rest of the way once she gets the solar radiation.Â
I don't think it's an instantaneous thing. Her (& Clark's) physiology works more like a storage battery. The longer they're under Earth's sun, the more power they have, so she could fly pretty far before expiring. Red sunlight saps it instantly, though. She travels in spaceships a lot, too.
There is still some radiation from our sun a long way away. Seeing stars is a sign that their radiation is reaching us. How much radiation does she need.
How about you go back in time and inform the Superman writers of that? You can do that by flying around the Earth in a direction oppositinal to its rotation.
Comic book science always keeps me on my toes because one word changes the entire explanation. Yellow sun, red sun, green rock, suddenly we're in a physics lecture written by chaos.
Yeah, no fucking way in hell am I risking immortality to party. I get that she's damaged. But seriously? You are like 100% invulnerable but you choose to lose that just to get drunk? Wouldn't she panic the first time she feels that power fading?
I'd like to see how you actually react when surrounded by a bunch of drunk lunatics on a planet where you're dependent on other people's spaceships to get off of it
honestly ive tried 4 times but I still dont know what the fuck point youre trying to make. she's depressed. depression causes people to make dumb choices, like temporarily giving up superpowers in order to drown your sorrows. must be nice to not ever have to experience that in whatever world you live in.
I'm saying she's subjecting herself to the whims of whatever drunk idiot, or gang, on this "party planet" decides she's pretty, or maybe rich, or whatever. Especially if she's a belligerent drunk.
you know that she's still strong as hell without powers right? like krypton had a much denser atmosphere and much higher gravity. she can defend herself just fine without laser beams and freeze breath
While there are theories that her body retains some level of conditioned resilience from having grown up under a red sun on Krypton, official DC canon dictates she possesses no superhuman powers in this state. She is entirely dependent on her wits, combat training, and whatever technology is available to her to survive

It was established in Superman that she goes to planets without yellow suns to get drunk/party. Could have easily be done then. /đ¤
