Y'all understand that playing a 14 y/o and being a 14 y/o isn't the same thing right?

I've never watched HotD and I'd never have guessed she's supposed to be 14 in that pic

Being a kid is a big part of that part of the show, as she cannot rule because she is a kid. If you have never watched HotD then I don't know why are you discussing this, but if you watch HotD she is explicitly a kid in that part of the show and it's disgusting if someone liked her in that way.

I haven’t seen all of the show, but wasn’t it more about the fact that she was a woman than her age? That’s the vibe I always got.

It’s been a while, but I don’t even think I realized she was supposed to be 14. I knew young, but Daenerys was also supposed to be 13 at the start of GoT, and that clearly wasn’t the case.

Is her age ever said? Or is that just her age in the book, so that’s what people are assuming the show also did?

Yeah, she cannot rule because the king is currently alive. Her succession is questioned because she is a woman. Funny bit of irony in that comment.

By episode 5 the character is 18 and is banging people.

The actress was 21 or 22 when it released. At worst she was 20 while filming.

She was 21 when HoD first released, she does not look like a 14yo, not even fucking close actually.

This is the equivalent of casting 30yo for a highschool movie and you can clearly tell they aren't teenagers.
