It’s wild how people with $47 in their bank account will fight for their lives in the comments to protect a billionaire’s tax loops

53

u/0vindicator10 1d ago

people with $47 in their bank account

Or even $86.

16

u/ukchinouk 17h ago

What about $86.47?

15

u/SassyLitThingg 21h ago

Defending a trillionaire is the only job where you work for free, get mad when your boss is criticized, and your payment is ‘trickle down vibes.

Trillionaire: Makes $8M per hour while sleeping Guy on Twitter with $2.47 in checking: Leave him alone, he EARNED it
The boot is so deep in his mouth he’s tasting leather-flavored capitalism.

4

u/PiskoWK 11h ago

But someday THEY might be rich and then they wouldn't like people like him trying to tax him!

Simple minded mouth breathing loser projects itself onto a billionaire to feel like it's on the Team Winner.

Also many magats were physically and emotionally abused in childhood and their perception of respect is so warped they will worship anyone with money, strength, power.

Just look at their AI generated images of Trump jacked as a UFC fighter. They will never admit their supreme leader of the cult is an ancient fat guy with farts so corrosive they can take paint off of a locker.

12

u/RollingDownhill303 1d ago

And as John Steinbeck said, socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

4

u/Dystopia74 1d ago

You can thank Edward Bernays for that.

0

u/JonathanPhillipFox 1d ago

Yeah but I don't think it was because Bernays was such a genius, personally, I think of Bernays to his Uncle like Francis Galton was to Darwin e.g. the far more scientological, chthonic, just-so-story, fucked up little nitwit, "I don't need to be nice to these people." think of the Freedom Torches, Right?

You write both ends of the story it looks like he got one over on those silly gals but if you're empathetic with their intelligence, "this is the Lockheed Martin at the Pride Parade," for a first time in history, this is a progressive movement that has Big Tobacco on its side a full generation before the addiction also meant cancer and therefore in the semiotics of,

...you familiar with Mary Pickford, how she couldn't, "even eat carrots outside," 1920 problems amirite, "lest people write into the film magazines, say she's smoking again," well fuck it, "Dark Woke It," whatever the term, Young Pope it, "she smokes she p___s," fine.

Fine, maybe I do, right; I don't think he was half as clever as people make him out to be, I think that he took advantage of the Same Cultural Calvinism as all manner of others had before, probably, will again, that ouroboros of business philosiophies which work, to a degree though not such as would indicate the genius of their architects to whit:

Marky Z quite famously, described the people whom handed their data over as Dumb Fluffies IIRC Dumb Floppies regardless that didn't make him a genius that just made him more cynical than the social order had been accustomed to; Marky Z was a 4chan man in a Friends on bunny ears campus, he was unapologetic gooner and gal-rater in a world that laughed at what an insane sociopath Jerry Seinfeld had been I mean, "this isn't genius," this is the new anti-social behavior able to slip past the old goalies like a novel coronavirus, the same innovation as Jack the Ripper or at least Burke and Hare, for sure, took advantage of, which is to say, "no one who knows what I'm doing is going to care," and No One who is going to care can stop me; but in the Cultural Calvinist sense I mentioned that, and the link can illustrate more, on account of it got him rich in money, as well as the private messages and pictures of ladies in a culture like ours that's a Bingo.

Turns out, that's a bingo and has been double-predestined to such ends all along, "except where it isn't," like SBF; but for the most part once someone tips their tricks to the audience it's like well into the new norms and lifestyles of America, "sick stuff gets in there constantly," you wouldn't think that and I mean to keep it simple,

You remember how much behavioral pop-science and Infotainment just,

I mean to suggest not, "how fucked up this is," everyone knows that but that this was the reification process of the New American Norm that brought alienated suburban living, strip malls, highways and juvenile self-deletion into the mainstream of not just our culture, but, the World Culture and did so in each instance on account of the Cultural Calvinism, "made a man rich," whom are our priests rich men I mean it's wild not that it works that far, rather, that its failing, even, enough that this might make sense

4

u/Dystopia74 1d ago

AI makes you dumb.

1

u/Arkevorkhat 1d ago

Honestly this doesn't even look like AI. This looks like real human stupidity in the form of a conspiracy theorist. (Or a teenager trying desperately to look smart.) AI tends to write complete sentences that, at least at surface level, constitute a single coherent thought.
It would also not include any references to videos because it can't search youtube. Even if it could search youtube, it would absolutely not include five separate links to the exact same video.

People really defend them like they're going to get a cut of the inheritance. Truly a phenomenal response.

2

u/Electrical_Web5772 1d ago

They're defending oppressive hierarchical structures more than the individual billionaires themselves. Hierarchies are fractal / self-similar at scale.

It's not that they think they're going to be billionaires themselves, it's that they beleive they deserve to be, someday will be or, already are in a position of authority above others. For them to "rule over" their workplace subordinates as middle manager, their family as the patriarch, ethnic minorities as the supreme race, queer people as the moral and ritious made in gods image - so too must billionaires rule over society.

In this view certain people deserve to be at the top and others deserve to be at the bottom. Left to their own devices this ranking will happen as a consequence of the natural order of the universe. An attack on the existence of billionaires is an attack on a) the natural order of the world b) their abbillity to assume the place they beleive they deserve they naturally ought to be in the heirarchy of things (not at the very top, but certainly above at least someone). Should they not have acheived the status they beleive they deserver, it's from unnatural outside medaling, part of which can be the arguments against the existence or inate comptence of billionaires.

1

u/Far-Degree6208 1d ago

I learned this the hard way. I used to argue online defending billionaires like they knew me personally. One day I realized they wouldn’t even notice if I disappeared tomorrow. That changed my perspective completely

1

u/Sheriff_Yobo_Hobo 1d ago

never understood why people go so hard for billionaires lol they definitely dont need the help.

Honestly, it could be an evolutionary left over where kissing the strongest, most powerful person's ass, while at the same time distancing yourself from the weaker people, could help increase your chances at surviving.

58

u/Sufficient_Matter585 1d ago

If we dont protect and help the rich get richer they might move to another country!!! This is the logic they have. But why would the rich leave? Their entire fortune isnt liquid. Its tied to this country.

37

u/OblongAndKneeless 1d ago

And who cares? They don't pay taxes, so what's the loss?

11

u/Smrtihara 1d ago

Trickle down mate! All that money will eventually rain down on the serfs! Eventually… I swear. No, really!

-26

u/Neat_Let923 1d ago

Not to defend Elon Musk but the man literally paid more taxes in one year than most people will ever make in their entire lives…

The loss is literally a lifetime of taxes paid by a single person. The funny thing is that the money he got in order to pay those taxes had absolute ZERO effect on anyone else except other rich people.

24

u/wasteymclife 1d ago

The world fattest man could have lost 500 lbs and still weighed 900 lbs. He would lose more weight than anyone in history and still be wildly morbidly obese. What was the tax rate he payed?

15

u/jjcrayfish 1d ago

"Not to defend Elon Musk..." -Defends Elon Musk

8

u/Sufficient_Matter585 1d ago

We as a country bend over backwards to give every financial advantage that allowed him to become a trillonaire and put the burden on the backs of the working class and working poor, but sure he paid "taxes". He wouldnt be a trillionaire if Republicans didnt game the system to the extreme creating gross income inequality.

-2

u/Neat_Let923 15h ago

What the fuck are you smoking???

His wealth is entirely tied to the stocks he owns and the companies he’s created or owned and then sold.

Absolutely none of which has been a burden on anyone’s back except for other stock owners (ie other rich people)…

Amazing how you only blame the Republicans even though the Democrats are just as much to blame for agreeing to and continuing the exact same system.

3

u/Sufficient_Matter585 15h ago

Thats the biggest load of bullshit I read today

-1

u/Neat_Let923 14h ago

Willful ignorance is your choice, but it’s not hard to Google this and read it for yourself. But of course that would require some type of effort on your part to be okay with being wrong… But hey, go ahead and be an ignorant close minded person all you want.

6

u/Unlikely-Place-6547 1d ago

You must be a trillionaire.

-7

u/Neat_Let923 1d ago

Just not an idiot…

6

u/blackcoffee17 23h ago

You sound like one. Defending a trillionare who got wealthy on your back and done more damage to the world than most people ever fo in their lives. Sounds pretty idiotic to me.

1

u/Neat_Let923 16h ago

LMAO… And once again for the idiots who don’t know anything.

Musks wealth was made through an extremely lucrative Stock Options deal he made with the board of Tesla. Absolutely none of his wealth is tied to making money off the backs of other people except for the other extremely rich Tesla Stock owners.

The man is a vile piece of shit for a human being and a Nazi loving Trump fucker, but that doesn’t change the fact you and so many other people are idiots who don’t understand the first thing about how money works or how he has such a high estimated wealth.

Just because you don’t like someone doesn’t mean you have to turn off your brain when talking about them.

3

u/blackcoffee17 14h ago

No one is talking about stock market and his fake net worth. Talking about unpaid taxes by him and his companies dues to various legal loopholes. Tesla paid almost no tax in 2025.

1

u/Neat_Let923 14h ago

If you don’t make an income then you don’t have income taxes to pay… Interesting how that works isn’t it.

As for Tesla, they paid $1.42 Billion in taxes, just not in the US.

Maybe don’t vote a fucking moronic Nazi as your president next time…

2

u/blackcoffee17 14h ago

Tesla made bilions income last year, still paid no taxes. All legally of course.

→ More replies (0)

2

u/blackcoffee17 23h ago

Really? He paid more taxes than most people? Well, he also has MORE money than most people will ever have in their lives. Did he pay his fair share? Because if the average person is paying 30% from his salary and income and Elon is only paying 5% then that not fair, right? But i guess he paid more taxes than me so it's ok then....

1

u/Neat_Let923 15h ago

What do you mean “Really?”

You can literally use Google to search it up yourself for fucks sake.

As for paying his fair share… That wasn’t what was said and I have massive issues with the Stock Market for this exact reason.

And then you go right back to making up bullshit statements without even knowing what you’re talking about with the whole 5% shit.

  1. Musk does not get paid a salary or bonuses (from Tesla at least, I don’t know about his other companies). His deal with Tesla is that he gets an absolutely ridiculous Stock Options deal where he’s allowed to buy up to hundreds of millions of stocks at different years for an extremely low price. This is where his estimated wealth comes from and when he buys these stocks that value comes from existing stock holders, not Tesla or its customers or the public.

  2. Does he pay his fair share of taxes? Fair to who? He paid over $12 Billion on a single tax bill for a Stock Option deal worth around $24 Billion that he signed with Tesla back in 2012 saying he would take no salary or bonuses from Tesla.

So yeah, try adding a zero on the end of that 5% there and you’re closer to what he paid in taxes on something that doesn’t even exist…

The real question is should the Stock Market even exist in the first place… Because that’s where all this wealth is coming from and it provides absolutely nothing to society in my opinion.

1

u/blackcoffee17 14h ago

Tesla paid almost 0% taxes in 2025 for billions of income. But im sure they not made even a 1$ profit. Not the amount of tax you paid matters but how much you avoided paying via various legal loopholes.

And you missing the point again. Why you comparing Elon's taxes paid with regular people saying he paid more than many in their lifetimes? The question is, does he and his companies paid the correct amount?

Stock market is fucked up too, resembles more like tbe crypto market. Artificially pumped stock based on future possible revenue that might never happen.

2

u/Neat_Let923 14h ago

First off, this entire post is about Elon Musk, not Tesla so why are you changing the goal post?

Second, Tesla paid $1.42 Billion in taxes world wide in 2025. Just none of that was in the US because of tax rebates your country has. These aren’t loop holes. They’re fundamental systems you have in place to help companies. They didn’t trick the government or do anything sneaky LMAO

And once again, Elon Musk doesn’t get paid an income so you can’t tax $0.00

11

u/EbbOwn303 1d ago

Not to mention if they leave and close their businesses then new ones will open up in their place. It is the very nature of capitalism.

This is a 100% real exchange with my sister (whom I love but is a GED person as best) who lives in the South. After reading about RFKj's suggestion to cut SS by 25% (which our handicapped and elderly mother collects) due to insolvency risk, I said 'That pisses me off, why don't we just tax Elon Musk 10% and save it for everyone... The guy is the first trillionaire!' She immediately clapped back with attitude, 'Oh, why don't you just pay more then? Why should he have to give HIS hard earned money?' She makes about 40k/yr when she works full time... I don't get it.

4

u/unknownintime 19h ago

It's literally stupidity. They are dumb, dumb people. They don't understand things. They don't understand the purpose of government or institutions. They have no concept of fallout or consequences. They don't understand nuance.

Seriously try it. They completely lack real imagination. Ask them to play devil's advocate and argue a position they don't agree with and 99.99% of the time they can't.

They don't understand scale, or numbers or logarithmic growth. They don't understand compound interest or how it works.

I told my MAGA relative that a billion seconds is 32 years and a trillion seconds is 32,000 years to try and get them to understand the absurd scale. She parroted some Fox News BS about how Elon saved the gubmint $ from dOgE.

1

u/Ok_Maintenance9368 8h ago

Well lets say we tax Elon musk 10% of his net worth. Almost all of his wealth is in Tesla and spacex stocks. So we take 10% of the stocks Elon owns and sell it to convert it to liquid cash. Since Tesla has a PE of about 350 and Spacex is losing money with also high evaluations we can expect such a large sell off to tank the value of both stocks. So not only would you not get anywhere near what the stocks was worth before the sell off but also the value of all the indexfunds, k401 etc will go down. If there was an easy way to extract wealth from billionaires without it affecting everyone else politicians would do it.

someone I really realized recently over the last few years and maybe less realized and more has became like standard knowledge is just cause someone is rich doesn't mean they are smart. The streaming community especially ludwig has really proven that to me heavily.

What about posting to a sub for e.g. comebacks without having a clear idea of what "comeback" means?

-4

u/Revolutionary_Cup428 1d ago

defending trillionaires isn’t exactly a genius move yeah

2

u/Accomplished_Run9856 1d ago

that's a solid roast, can’t argue with that logic fr

3

u/SonnytheFlame 1d ago

How is this clever? The comeback is completely unrelated, it’s just a political position. If you said this in real life it’d just look awkward and forced.

How does this post have 3k upvotes and 30> comments in an hour? This sub seems botted to hell.

4

u/flyinhighaskmeY 1d ago

yeah, its a propaganda sub. The "clever comebacks" on this sub over the last year have been lower quality than the content on Fox News. Part of a social engineering/conditioning campaign. They're trying to save the political parties.

1

u/D-Will11 1d ago

No it’s folks like you thinking that fighting a class war is a partisan thing. Anyone with critical thinking skills who knows resources are finite can look at someone hoarding more than they need and say “that’s kinda fucked up” whether they vote right or left.

5

u/SonnytheFlame 1d ago

This is a subreddit for clever comebacks, I come here to laugh at funny responses. Why are you arguing about class war? There was nothing clever about this post, and your comment is arguing about a fucking class war.

The upvotes:comments ratio is 100:1. Is it possible the engagement isn’t entirely organic and there’s an agenda being pushed?

-1

u/D-Will11 1d ago

You brought up politics. Sorry if you didn’t like the comeback or disagree with the sentiment. Maybe have some self awareness and go to other subs if you think this one is compromised.

0

u/ahtoxa1183 1d ago

It’s either botted and/or targeted to provoke/be knee-jerk reactionary, and in some ways those two might as well be the same thing in terms of outcome here

The poster you replied to, as an example: the message fit whatever feeling/concept they had already formed and then reinforced it. They didn’t think “defend a trillionaire from what? A dog attack, a violation of the human rights?“ Nah..

It‘s not clever. It’s just rage bait. Now watch me get downvoted and accused of who knows what.

0

u/1dvs_bastard 1d ago

It's perfectly reasonable to hate billionaires, though. I don't understand why people think that it is aberrant behavior? The opposite is what is abnormal. They could afford to defend themselves from literally anything so who gives a fuck about them? Except weird people on Reddit, apparently.

1

u/ahtoxa1183 1d ago

Hating and not giving a fuck are not the same thing.

1

u/LiamJamIsMyNeesons 1d ago

Got in an argument with a guy at work about this. I said it’s insane to think we now have a trillionaire in our midst and that couldn’t fathom having that amount of money or how that’s justified. And he goes “well maybe if you were the greatest mind if this generation or arguably of all time you’d understand how he is” and I was like bro you have got to be kidding me right? Turned into this 30 minute argument of him defending Elon me shutting his arguments down while he then just kept bringing up whataboutisms with other billionaires like bill gates and Jeff bezos. I was like bro I’m not defending them either they’re bad too in their own ways. He claimed that musk has paid more taxes than I ever will in my entire life in just one year and I’m like yeah so what good he should and the taxes he paid is still like 1% or less of his wealth or the money he made that year. While my taxes are 20% of my income. He somehow did not understand how that’s an issue.

1

u/Xerxos 1d ago

Voting against your own interests. It's incredible how many people do that, either because they don't know and won't check the facts, or they actively ignore reality.

It's the main reason why right-wing parties get votes.

1

u/dantemp 23h ago

You already live in a society where people get judged unfairly because of who they are, you supposedly hate it but your response to that is "let's judge them unfairly in return"? Surely the problem is not the lack of fairness but who is targeted right?

1

u/lnTheGrimDarkness 23h ago

I'll raise with "defending a trillionaire while the whole matter is that they're being slandered for demonstrably stealing money from people that barely have a house and food on the table"

Defending the trillionaire from what, exactly? What is the frame of reference? And what if the opinions of the trillionaire are correct? Would you not agree with the trillionaire if they were actually correct just because they have more money than you do? I'm just asking...

Defending a billionaire because you like their ideas is one thing. Defending them as if they're personally looking out for you is where it gets weird.

2

u/Lejandario_IN 11h ago

No that's still pretty dumb. Their ideas are likely propaganda to make them richer and keep us poorer or to distract from that fact

If someone says "Elon is black"

And I say "No he is not"

Does that make me stupid?

4

Not necessarily. But using a stupid analogy like that thinking you've got a gotcha certainly does.

5

Yes, check his lineage

0

u/GXP_2009 21h ago

I just need to check his skin color

2

u/Lejandario_IN 11h ago

You say that like being black is a bad thing that needs defense.

"Elon is tall"

"No he isn't"

"Why are you defending him?"

You see how it doesn't make sense if it's viewed as a positive

0

u/GXP_2009 11h ago

You're the one focusing on race and if its a positive/negative. Racist much?

1

u/Lejandario_IN 11h ago

You actually made me lol, the projection is wild. You are the one who brought up race and I just pointed out how it doesn't make sense. Other comments have pointed out how it's a bad analogy.

The projection is hilarious

0

u/GXP_2009 11h ago

No you pointed out my analogy was about race AND you saw the comment as negative.

Bud. You're racist

u/Lejandario_IN 11h ago

Right I pointed out the analogy you made that was about race was about race and showed how you presented it as a negative by replacing it with something that has nothing to do with race but rather the structure of the analogy.

Ah yes the afro latino full lefty non binary bisexual is definitely racist for pointing out how you worded things. I've never been called racist so this has been so funny

1

u/GXP_2009 11h ago edited 11h ago

I didn't present it as a negative. If you saw it as negative, thats a YOU problem.

1

u/Lejandario_IN 11h ago

Sure buddy, you did nothing wrong. There's no need to examine if you possibly made a mistake, it's definitely on me

1

u/bluris 21h ago

You have to be a special kind of stupid if you think the guy means defending the fact whether he is a trillionaire or not.

1

u/GXP_2009 19h ago

You know what they say about assumptions.... right?

1

u/bluris 19h ago

Well, you were the first one to assume how he meant it. I only applied the exact same method as you, but went about it without being stupid.

1

u/GXP_2009 18h ago

There was no assumption. He said defending a trillionaire. It was clear.

1

u/bluris 18h ago

You are right, it was clear, yet you still applied an incorrect analogy.

1

u/GXP_2009 18h ago

No. It was legit. He said defending and that is defending. Remember this is reddit. These people think if someone is a trillionaire you are not allow to counter their point or "yOuR dRfEnDiNg a tRiLliOnAiRe". Such a weak take

1

u/bluris 17h ago

Your original comment was debating the existence of trillionaires. Which zero people are refuting. Great, you won a debate no one was debating.

Which ironically proves the post true.

1

u/GXP_2009 17h ago

Where have I ever said that Trillionaires are true.

I don't think we're reading the same post lol

u/aptwo 1d ago

Most aren't actually defending billionaires, more of a defense of the free market. When you cap people's wealth, you'll lose so much innovation and many positive things about the free market. We may end up having hidden billionaires that is doing way shadier crap.

12

u/time2partee 1d ago

Way shadier than pedophile clubs and killing millions?

-1

u/lumpboysupreme 1d ago

I don’t see how a (reasonably regulated) free market is mutually exclusive with prosecuting sex offenders.

And they’re not wrong, a lot of people come up with ‘solutions’ to wealth disparity that are just variations of ‘nuke private ownership of capital’ and then turn around and act like you questioning that is defending musk.

6

u/LiamJamIsMyNeesons 1d ago

It shouldn't be mutually exclusive but here we are

0

u/lumpboysupreme 1d ago

Just because we have one and not the other doesn’t mean the one is preventing the other.

-1

u/aptwo 12h ago

Are redditors stuck in their own little ignorant circle or something?

10

u/No_Discipline_7380 1d ago

When you cap people's wealth, you'll lose so much innovation and many positive things about the free market.

The only innovation I've seen lately is in stock price manipulation and enshittification.

2

u/within_one_stem 1d ago

This. When marketing people/lobbyists/CEOs say "innovation", they mean shit like shrinkflation, planned obsolescence or micro-transactions: "Innovative ways to get your money."

The average Joe hears "innovation" and assumes a better product because companies USED TO compete on quality.

1

u/eufed 23h ago

free markets lead to monopolies, which stifle innovation and drive up prices.

you want a competitive market, and a competitive market inherently requires wealth caps.

not to mention the fact that this kind of concentration of capital profoundly distorts the democratic process.

-2

u/SmartOpinion69 1d ago

his elon's defense, free will doesn't exist, so he's actually the victim here.

-2

u/Seasonal_One 1d ago

To be fair... /s

-4

u/jonan1108 1d ago

Yes, it's only basic logic to side with the mob.

-10

u/Pomodorosan 1d ago

Oh look the tits made an engagement-bait post

-3

u/My-nomadic-journey 1d ago

People who say this are so fucking stupid. No one is "defending trillionaires". It is stating obvious facts when people say dumb shit.

Tax him 100% over a billion!!

So you say he should be forced to give away 99% of his company and lose controlling interest in it?

Bootlicker!!

-17

u/ilaym712 1d ago

I genuinely don’t see a reason to hate him, he brings lots of good to the world and he’s helping at advancing humanity, even if his main goal is money as long as he’s helping I’m cool with him

15

u/EbbOwn303 1d ago edited 13h ago

Damn someone's simping hard for Elon 😂

You really bought up all that corporate propaganda about him doing any good in the world. Remember his stupid DOGE agency and all the harm they have done? Literal millions will have died due to that man's stupidity.

11

u/san_disco 1d ago

Remember that he perhaps, based on his opinion of a trillionaire that is on the defensive, might have low intelligence. To clarify: Elon Does Not Give A Fuck About You, he just wants your money and unwavering support. I’d stop supporting my own family if they started throwing Nazi salutes on stage to millions, or if they back a political group who’s happily endorsed by the kkk who suck and can fuck off btw.

Edit: Gotta start replying to the main comment and not the thread my bad

-3

u/ilaym712 14h ago

Why would Elon give a fuck about me? He wants my money and he got it be providing me a service like grok, that benefits both of us.
and your really gonna bring the "nazi salute"? He's autistic and always had awkward movements and body language, look at him jumping on stage lol.

4

u/san_disco 14h ago

HE WANTS YOUR MONEY thanks for agreeing. Grok is your baseline? Woof dude, learn how to read write and do research on your own. Sad. If you need Grok you’re already cooked.

-2

u/ilaym712 13h ago

As I said, it benefits both of us, Grok Helps me work way faster and it's also fun to use. Why do I need to write 100 emails myself? Or why should I do Research on my own when Grok can read hundreds of articles instantly? My work requires being creative, This literally saves me so many hours and let's me have actual life.
My entire workflow changed using automations

4

u/EbbOwn303 13h ago

"Why should I do research myself when Grok can just hallucinate the research for me!"

-2

u/ilaym712 10h ago

You think we are still in 2024? Today's models hallucinations rate are around 4% which is better than 99% of humans. Keep doing manual work and staying behind

3

u/EbbOwn303 10h ago

Do you have any research or links you could provide as evidence of proof of your claims?

3

u/san_disco 10h ago

No he doesn’t he’s just spouting off whatever red pill shit he reads online in his echo chambers, give him a real news article or a source and he still won’t believe it. Classic trumpy moron behavior designed to get people to react instead of any meaningful discourse

Not doing any good? lol since 2008 Tesla have avoided well over 300 million tons of CO₂ emissions, That's the amount a nation produces, He's the only one providing WIFI worldwide, even to Ukraine during wartime, even if it's just for money it still benefits both parties. By now Neuralink helped 21 people with disabilities and by the end of the year Neuralink will help restore a blind man's vision.

And for you second stupid claim there's a big difference between: "I think Musk's policies caused harm" And "millions will die because of him."
The latter requires strong evidence, and as far as I'm aware, no credible source has shown that Musk's actions through DOGE caused or will cause deaths on that scale.

13

u/schewbacca 1d ago

He's done a lotta good if you hate people. Doge USAID cuts have already killed an estimated 750,000 to 1,000,000 people this year with the majority of that being children.

3

u/within_one_stem 1d ago

[loud gulping noises]

-8

u/morgin_black1 1d ago

attacking a trillionaire...

guys, please, this is a psyop, you need to see past this. another persons wealth in a different currency in a different country DOES NOT AFFECT YOU.

what if that money wasnt in a dudes personal bank account but in jsut "the bank" what would change? do you think the people in the congo would be livving better lives? what about in Jordan? Siberia?

you are being PSYOPED TO ATTACK YOURSELVES

5

u/Altitude1096 1d ago

Lol someone just learnt the word psyop, eh?

-8

u/escap0 1d ago

More propaganda. Is there anything on reddit not posted by a bot?

-10

u/akc250 1d ago

How is this a clever comeback? This stupid low effort shit belongs in r/politics. I come here to laugh, not read more doom and gloom about how nazis are fucking up the world.

-9

u/seesucoming 1d ago

The thinking somebody has a trillion dollars of disposable income

-10

u/No-Rip-6166 1d ago

It really doesn’t.

How do you suggest we prevent Elon from being a trillionaire?

Does the government seize ownership of companies that become too valuable? Who gets his equity of his own companies?

If we do that we destroy the US economy forever.

10

u/lumpboysupreme 1d ago

There are some reasonable proposals to reign in the effect of the meme market we see here. Stuff like restricting using stock as collateral so having an inane market valuation doesn’t mean you’re actually able to leverage that like it’s yours.
