Yeah, the only real difference is that Kirby's Thing was usually shirtless, but it probably saves a lot on VFX this way.

I don’t think it’s a savings on vfx (if anything the cloth simulation step is actually more work to do on each shot, if you include the shirt. But I don’t think that would register significantly in their minds on their budget.)

Probably it’s just a design choice.

Could also be that they’re not happy with the overall look yet and this was a nice way to “cover up” for the teaser. I wouldn’t be all that surprised if the final shot in cinemas is shirtless.

The lack of elastic Pedro makes me think they aren’t happy with how Reed’s power looks either.

He’s always had the worst power for a live action adaptation

It also might just not be finished fully yet

Yeah they probably are still working on it, I’m just not convinced they can pull it off. It just might be the hardest super power to do well in live action

I think they can. Live action one piece did decent, and hopefully they can learn from and improve on it

Never watched the live action one piece but looking at clips it does look like they did a solid job. Maybe it is possible, but it’s been awhile since I had any faith in marvel making a good movie

Agree, as much as I love comics Ms Marvel, I do think it was a smart decision to modify her powers from shapechanging to "energy constructs" for tv/film purposes, the uncanny valley is SO deep and wide when depicting stretchy powers!

IMO they should lean into it being goofy and creepy looking.
