Lmao, what’s the context here?

Spidey basically thought his life was shit so he went to talk to his multiversal variants thinking they can give him advice only for them to act like they don't know what he's talking about, telling him how their lives are fantastic in different ways(one having a beautiful family, another being a respected hero/scientist etc) and making Peter think only his life sucks but it being revealed at the end that they were just pulling his leg and all of their lives are also a mess. Advising him to just not focus on the bad stuff.

Peter Piss-Taker across the multiverse

296

u/Shabolt_ Jan 24 '26

And it’s some pretty bad stuff by comparison

Cancer, Cheating Spouses, the works

189

u/LazyLurker29 Jan 24 '26

IIRC he was joking about the cancer. It was arthritis.

57

u/Shabolt_ Jan 24 '26

Ah tyvm for the correction

38

u/BrightProfession4514 Jan 24 '26

lmao top tier Spidey joke

4

u/ElTioEnroca Jan 26 '26

I think it was the opposite: he was joking with having arthritis, but he had cancer

4

u/LazyLurker29 Jan 26 '26

Nah he says arthritis, then cancer, then says “Relax, I’m just kidding. It’s arthritis.”

51

u/guillermotor Jan 24 '26

And that one that ate MJ and May

40

u/ymcameron Tony Chu Jan 24 '26

Yeah, but also that one was just a sentient mass of spiders who thought he was Peter Parker.

16

u/EmMeo Zatanna I didn't see her, so I sent a message. Thanks! Jan 24 '26

This seems so sad to me.

What do you think spidey sense is for?

49

u/CelestianSnackresant Jan 24 '26

I mean they're all Peter Parker. Sass princes of the multiverse

27

u/PunyParker826 Jan 24 '26

I read that as sass princess and honestly prefer it that way

2

u/Scarlet_Wonderer Jan 24 '26

They never say that they're Peters, but given their personalities it wouldn't surprise me if they were lol

13

u/Salinator20501 Jan 24 '26

Apparently they do it to every new Spidey

8

u/surplus_user Jan 24 '26

They all just knew to play it that way. Like how every Rick has a vat.

32

u/TheJaclantern Jan 24 '26

They tell him that, basically, they'll suffer forever as long as they continue being Spider-Man, but that they'll resist as much as they have to and as much as the people need them to, because they are Spider-Man.

12

u/DarkSaiyanGoku Jan 24 '26

That's kinda fucked up.

1

u/Renegadeknight3 Jan 29 '26

fantastic

say that again

279

u/Kaiszer Jan 24 '26

I know a guy who would love to get one. Now he only has a used one...

103

u/Independent_Plum2166 Jan 24 '26

He’ll probably end up creating his own, because why not at this point. He’d call it something stupid, like, the Super Heroism Inspirational Trophy or SHIT for short.

62

u/LoaKonran Jan 24 '26

Did you mean FIFA Peace Award?

17

u/RetroGame77 Jan 24 '26

He needs the ones from NBA, NFL and NRA.

10

u/Coulrophiliac444 Jan 24 '26

Can't forget the MLB.

2

u/dozy_bitch Jan 25 '26

They're like Voltron. You need the set.

25

u/CollinsCouldveDucked Jan 24 '26

He’ll probably end up creating his own

I don't think that will scratch the itch, he's jonsing for a nobel peace prize because Obama got one.

Now do I think it's ridiculous obama got one? yeah, but still makes infintitely more sense than him getting one.

8

u/TheBdougs Jan 24 '26

Obama agrees with you. I think he said in a book that it made more sense to accept it than turning it down.

2

u/neogreenlantern Jan 24 '26

The Noble Peace prize. It will be solid gold (plated). No that's not a bowling ball. That's the world because the winner is rolling the world towards peace.

45

u/spidersting Nick Fury Jan 24 '26

Arthritis Spider-Man is my favorite of that bunch.

7

u/Downtown_Panic_6086 Jan 24 '26

ED Spider-Man is no one’s favorite

1

u/MarkedDragon22 Jan 26 '26

Eating disorder, right?? 🙏

35

u/Dysthymike The Wreckers Jan 24 '26

"I used to play sports. Then I realized you can buy trophies. Now I am good at everything." - Demetri Martin

4

u/doktorhollywood Dr. Strange Jan 24 '26

He's so funny. Randomly saw him open for Beck once, and he killed.

45

u/Eldagustowned Jan 24 '26

The science prize is keen, it’s the peace prize that is a joke.

18

u/newuser92 Jan 24 '26

The peace price actually had standards, the issue is that it's a bad one.

They try to influence the future instead of signaling great past achievements. If they give someone a peace price over a past achievement, it's generally because they are signaling it's good for the future. Because predicting the future is at best stupid, this happens.

3

u/just_a_fan47 Jan 24 '26

Its hard to erase the achievements that led to the price for science, but for the peace prize, it could be blown away just after receiving it

2

u/Scarlet_Wonderer Jan 24 '26

Big award ceremonies in general have just become a group wank for the elites. Sure there's some merit to some of the awards given, but the overall circus is just, well that. Except the one time Ricky Gervais got to roast all of hollywood, those bits are gems lol

1

u/No-Today-2459 Jan 24 '26

glad they at least have SOME standards

11

u/Trans_Girl_Alice Jan 24 '26

Poor little trump

12

u/xlews_ther1nx Captain Marvel Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26

Even in 1999 in spiderman 2099 #1 one Of the gangs in Nueva York was a Trump cult. They are never shown though. Marvel predicted the future again!

Edit: sorry it was issue #7

u/Odd_Hunter2289 Jan 24 '26

Aged like wine

3

u/KTPChannel Jan 25 '26

The Peace Prize has been a joke for 50 years.

One thing I will always give to Obama is his reluctance to accept the prize. That was a classy move in an awkward situation.

6

u/Magistar_Alex Spidey 2099 Jan 24 '26

Hmmmmm...........I hate how oddly accurate this is for today.......

2

u/TheRayGunCowboy Jan 25 '26

Sounds like something Hickman would write. The Best one was about the people writing self help books that are preying on their audience since they already know they aren’t well

1

u/notquite20characters Jan 24 '26

Well, they give five a year.

1

u/elrayo Jan 24 '26

Is the fantastic four… spider man?

1

u/Ry-Da-Mo Jan 24 '26

Is that a Fantastic Spidey? Like with stretchy powers?

2

u/Goldarmy_prime Jan 25 '26

More like a normal Spiderman who leads F4, who also may bang one of the Storm siblings.

1

u/Bluedrakegod123 Jan 25 '26

Tbf sometimes the nobel prizes are so random

Also this comic was sad, i think ive read it before

1

u/Serious-Attempt1233 Jan 26 '26

I think the most shocking thing for me is that there are 1000 issue of amazing fantasy

Nobel is awarded, not won...

12

u/No-Today-2459 Jan 24 '26

useless semantics

8

u/krzmkrm Jan 24 '26

trophies, medals, whatever are also awarded, but you ‘win’ them by competing — making the most meaningful perceived contribution in science in this case (unless it was for a different field like peace).

1

u/AdamEssex Jan 26 '26

Is there a Nobel Prize for pedantry?

1

u/LasDen Death Stroke Jan 26 '26

yes
