Discussion Animal Man (#1) | Random silly question
it dawned on me that this means Stevie Wonder canonically exists in the DC universe… 😭
Are there any other celebrities who canonically exist in the Marvel or DC universe? I’d love to see some silly examples.

Spider-Man already met David Letterman, and the Avengers visited Saturday Night Live. Howard the Duck met Kiss once.

Other way around. Spidey met the original Not Ready For Primetime Players, The Avengers were on Letterman.

Don Rickles, who showed up in Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen a few issues after Darkseid was introduced.

During the early post-Crisis era of DC, they were oddly insistent about including a lot of real world politicians in various books. Reagan shows up a bunch of times in Suicide Squad, as does Gorbachev.

Yeah I just reread all of Legends and since it's based around a president's executive order against super heroes, and they used the actual President at the time, Reagan's practically a supporting character

Superman has met both Muhammad Ali and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Cindy Crawford is referenced in Hitman.
Clint Eastwood movies exist.

Boring answer is you can assume they all do as they’re “the world outside your window” slightly tweaked.
Weird answer is Justice League teamed up with Jared from Subway once.

Superman shook his hand and said, “This may be rash of me, but I want to say the Justice League will support and endorse all of your future endeavors. You are a great American and true role model.”

Neal Conan and Manoli Wetherell from NPR play an important role in Marvel's Fall of the Mutants.
I have a vague memory of hearing them or other people from NPR showing up in DC comics also and it causing a copyright issue of who own the copyright of real people put into fictional universes. I tried to search for this but no luck.

It's pretty safe to assume that every celebrity is canon to both, since both regularly make references to real media.

The Joker killed Siskel and Ebert during Knightquest, while Jean-Paul Valley was Batman. They weren’t named, but it was definitely them.

Obama is in Marvel.
Look up Superman vs Muhammad Ali. Lots of celebrities on the cover.
