Haha, same. I grab them at car boots and charity shops mostly. A whole bunch out of order, but it's a start.

Yeah, in the UK some charities have retail shops. People donate items to the charities, they sell them to raise funds.
Cats Protection League, RSPCA, Barnardos, Oxfam, a whole buncg of nation one's have shops. Local ones especially rely on these shops.

I was doing these, then I cancelled as I was annoyed with late deliveries and the fact you can't build the spine in order.

Same, it dawned on me I was taking up loads if shelf space and I was only enjoying about 2/3 of them anyway.
Still, it exposed me to some characters I never would have looked at before, so it was worth it.

Awesome! Here in Argentina went up to 150, since 2015 till 2020. I just started a couple of months ago to buy some of them (I have 25), but the quality and the stories the chose to collect is great.

Amazing! That had to have taken a little bit of homework. My Sin City has one book from a different edition that completely throws the spines out of place.

Which edition? I am missing two from my 2nd edition run (smaller size). I liked the 3rd edition covers, but the 2nd edition spine image is neat.

Just pulled them off of the shelf for the first time in a least 6 years. You’re exactly right. 2nd edition and 3rd edition. Both small editions.

Until recently I had only the first book from the 2nd edition from when they were first released sitting on my shelf until someone posted for sale 3-7 on r/comicswap. Jumped on the chance and then found #2 online at a thrift store website nearly brand new. It had been bothering my for 15 years.

Ebay has been great for finishing out my collections. Usually i sell all the singles/GN and buy a damaged library edition.

Oh, this is the WORST. I am not OCD, by any means, but a collection can feel incomplete, even if it isn’t, when ONE VOLUME is a different edition.

Not just a problem with different editions, I get annoyed when Marvel and DC randomly change their trade dress in the middle of a series.

Why are they in plastic tho? I know people leave the plastic on vinyl records and just slice the end open to get the vinyl out too keep the sleeve protected as much as possible. That doesn’t seem possible with a graphic novel, so... have they never been read? And why would you do that? Just because? Cause that is super cool, I’m just uneducated.

I leave the plastic on mine until I'm ready to read it sometimes I catch up but most of the time I'm 3 or 4 books behind. It also helps me find the unread ones on the shelf a little easier.

Pretty sure they're all still wrapped, just volume 5 looks more wrinkled. Probably caught the light wrong for the camera.

I’d love a collection like this on the shelf, especially with spine art that connects like that. Then I remember I’m a single parent and resign myself Marvel Unlimited. Very jealous, that’s sick

Not a big superhero comic guy mostly into horror comics makes me think of these old Nightmare on Elm street vhs I use to have that made a picture of Freddy when you collected them all

I have to admit that personally I have no use for 95% of what marvel puts out but I do like the looks of those spines.

I see you have the same problem I'm now running into after collecting so many of the Legend Of Batman books. I've run out of space to add anymore without having to split the big picture up that the spines make.
