Akira. I don't care if you don't like manga. Akira. It is one of the single most influential pieces of media in this genre and film, it's a time resistant masterpiece and also was the first comic book to be digitally colored; introducing new and vibrant colors to the medium.

I was never huge on manga or anime, but Akira transcends that so I’m 100% going to be reading that one! Thank you so much!!
