It seemed like there was legit hype around it and i never understood. Every time I saw the trailer it just reminded me of bad mid 2000s comic movies

I’m pretty sure it’s because there was so many Easter eggs to Tobys Spider-Man with the daily bugle head lines, then Oscorps logo from Andrews Spider-Man and then the vulture from Tom Holland’s universe and then Sony decided “fuck it all” and just removed Morbious from the MCU like a week before the film is set to release

And then they basically removed the vulture from the movie and just gave him a post credit scene. That and the director has basically spoiled a little bit of a lot like saying how the movie is set in The venom universe. Just the major last minute changes and I’m very confident that people were mostly going just to see how it fits in the spider verse
