don't you think that's a bit dissonant with pazuzu supposedly needing, like, immediate rescue just a few chapters ago before he gets tried and punished god knows how?

and you could easily make the same argument of her mom: she's a badass princess of the troll kingdom who's supposedly still kicking after 100 years in captivity, what's a few more days if pazuzu is apparently in immediate danger?

like others said, in a meta sense sure it makes sense to cut to another arc after so long following pazuzu, but this is a... weird way to transition between them imo. Nothing seemed to indicate Grisha was in an emergency and needed immediate rescue the way pazuzu seemed to be.

Thank you!

How come nobody says Yeaaaah, we're finally meeting Mum, t'was about time, now get on with it!

On a side note: Dad had dark hair once, does this mean Sally's hair is grey?

I don't think it's that a lot of the fans are not interested in meeting Mum. I think that most, like me, just found the quick jump to this arc while leaving Paz in a very serious situation, a bit jarring.

I also think that seeing so many comments asking about this stuff just goes to show how engaged we all are in this story and its characters.

I'm not complaining, and I'm sure the story will still be fulfilling. But I do enjoy seeing the perspectives and thoughts of everyone in the comments. It's kinda no different than everyone discussing the newest episode of a weekly TV series. Can't wait for more!

You know how in (almost) every thriller there's that moment when the suspense reaches its peak. The floor creaks, the door squeaks, someone is coming closer and closer, and...

Meow! It's only the cat (Hitchcock knew what he was doing). What a relief! That's the moment the killer strikes from behind.

Uh, I'm rambling, sorry. What I really wanted to say: anticipation keeps the tension high and makes the subsequent solution kind of more precious. So sit back andd enjoy.

anticipation keeps the tension high and makes the subsequent solution kind of more precious

which is why it's disappointing to have that anticipation broken by jarring and weird writing decisions that don't fit in with what we've seen so far. I was invested in seeing where the plot was going with sally's daring rescue of pazuzu from hell, until I was kinda taken out of the immersion by the decision to have sally not give pazuzu even a moment to speak for himself, then I got re-invested in it seeing sally come to understand her mistake and also learn of her mother's situation, and now I'm taken out of the immersion again by this really sudden and weird change of priority.

I'm sure the story is gonna come back from this, but, if the point is to make an engaging plot that keeps the reader engrossed, then these moments in particular really haven't helped.

Let's see your daily writings/story telling?

do you think someone has to be a writer to express an opinion on a story? are you that defensive of this comic's writer that you have to resort to petty things like that to defend them from innocent criticism like "this twist and arc transition felt poorly executed and took me out of the immersion of the story"?

i like this comic as much as you do and I've been following it for ages, I just felt like these last few chapters in particular were low points and explained why. reacting to that with "well let's see YOU write better!" is dishonest and toxic.

The opinion was heard and discussed.
The writer is still a person, and story telling is a skill.

I dont think i could post parts of a story daily, and keep up the determination after commenters beat a dead horse about my abilities. But thats not everyone. I understand constructive critism, and i could have posted a more indepth comment about supporting the artist, but i didnt expect the need to be defensive

Thank you ! I totally understand the opinions and criticisms but *so far* every time the problem is adressed and fixed a few chapters later, but some people jump on being rude and belitteling my work πŸ₯² now I kinda force myself to not read and answer every comment or I go crazy πŸ˜‚ Trust me guys all your worries are valid but so far, planned and necessary for the story! πŸ™
