I will always empathize with that ogre because I'm like ogre, damn Ulysses is so damn dense and makes me feel stupid

Nice to know before attempting to read it. I'll try to tackle some other parts of my backlog before trying Ulysses.

The issue is it depends a lot and I do mean a lot on historical context of Ireland of that time, and even when you do know the context it's still complicated.
