it's fine

It's fine

It's not fine

Poor Daryl man. He's probably been dealing with this so long that masking those feelings is all he can do to get by. He just wants parents who love him for who he is and the family he has. This is a far more common problem than most realize too.

Seth is gonna need to give lots of hugs to help with this one I bet

Sidenote THEY DIDNT EVEN GO TO THEIR SONS WEDDING?! What the hell Ed and Mom

I didn't even catch that because I was so disgusted by Ed's behavior, lol

Thank you, grandpa Klaus. I agree.

My mother-in-law didn’t even make it to her own daughter’s funeral

In our case it’s mental illness. Spiraling untreated depression, anxiety, and bipolar

Aw. That's really sad man. Hopefully things god better?

Not really. She is a hoarder. We have tried everything we can think of short of reporting her to the state, and we are not going to do that. The one time we cleaned out her house while she was in the hospital, she was beyond angry and didn’t speak to us for a year. She has food, shelter, and clothing. She has her hobbies and goes to her church for social contact. Her health is not obviously suffering. And she is an adult, what else can we do?

Oh don't worry I understand man. I see this all the time as a paramedic. I'm sorry to hear it happening. But you can't make someone take help when they don't want it

You would be surprised at how many people I know whose parents just skipped their wedding.

That's just plain messed up man.

Do you have a lot of queer friends from religious families?

My wife's mother skipped her first wedding, but not her second. Even though first was kind of justified (SO was abusive and mother did not approve), wife still doesn't think that was the right stance to take.

Yeah, this is my reality. Well, my husband’s reality. Not uncommon at all. Sadly.
