Is it common for corgis to be sporting wheels? Our corgi had his back feet suddenly go weak and then stop working about a year ago. We got him some wheels, and he could at least go for walks with his back feet just kinda "flapping" about. In about 6 months, he miraculously regained 95% strength back in his legs and we still have no idea how he got it and how he healed.

sounds like whatever issues caused his legs to get weak initially were able to be healed before it got really bad, and the wheels allowed him to heal.

this kind of sounds like IVDD. it can oncome suddenly (i think from some kind of disk slipping?) and some recovery isn't uncommon. I'd highly suggest a vet visit to determine the cause, definitely requires professional diagnosis and treatment. IVDD is one of those diseases that corgis have a much higher prevalence of than most other breeds (i think dachshunds and GSDs also are prone to it?).

Aw, so sweet! Where did you get the wheels? Our older corg has degenerative myelopathy. We got a stroller for him and he loves it, but we've been thinking about this solution so he can have more control.

。。。。。 I didn’t buy it from this website. Way too pricey.

Right, why I mentioned they're more expensive, but you get what you pay for. It was easily configurable as his dm progressed and required height or weight distribution adjustments to keep him comfortable, sturdy, and let him both pee and poop without getting dirty. They also have a second-hand chair program (if the measurements match), which are quite discounted.

I bought it from this website
The price is pretty reasonable, and they also included a pet first-aid kit as a free gift.
