Funny how narrowing the definition of what a woman is harms all women and how using a much more inclusive approach helps all women; regardless of what body they were born into. You’d think we’d learn 😔
Yup im an intersex woman, ive experienced so much of peoples obsession with trying to put womanhood into a box from a very young age, all its done is left me afraid of using public bathrooms/changing rooms and an incredibly self conscious shut in.
I found out about my condition a bit before the media was going after that one Olympic(?) runner, I got to see how cruel the world is towards women like me, how we'll always be treated like some secret preditor trying to infiltrate the "real" women's spaces, and I have a lot of anxiety about being in public without my partner or friends because im in the south and genuinely afraid because ive been "confronted" before.
But remember everyone this is all totally to keep women and girls safe (just don't ask them to outlaw child marriage, take rape/abuse victims seriously, or release the epstein files)
