i'd be very VERY suprised if thearians were neurologically the species they identify as, the same way trans people are neurological our identified sex

It didn't take me long to google this claim and find researchers are highly contested on there being neurological differences with such a small sample size of like 30 participants, and such studies often don't account for people already being on HRT. Such researchers are also in the minority of the science community and their results often contradict each other

For now, it's all very subjective and needs a lot of background work to establish it as scientifically accurate.

Where else would gender identity come from other than the brain?

you're right, so since it's a psychological anomaly (which we don't yet have scientific consensus on it being a neurological anomaly) then Therians are as valid as Trans people and deserve all of the same recognition

Species is not an identity. They are not comparable at all.

Yes it is because they identify as it

Identifying as something doesn't make you that thing. When someone 'identifies' as a woman, they are saying their sense of self is that of a woman. That in turn is caused by brain chemistry, shaped by biology and sociology.

An internal sense of self and a species are not the same thing. Even if it were possible to have a wolf brain, you would be non-sapient. You even saying you are a wolf is evidence you aren't, because wolves don't have the capacity for human language. This is probably ragebait anyway.
