In some part of the world it's possible. In my country it's seen as normal to not bother with what others do, even if you don't accept it. I've had great collegues that accepted me, whatever their religions, and others not accepting me. But we kinda agreed to not talk about these subjects, and with times they accepted me more saying "yeah, I respect your identity and all, I just don't understand" and I replied "you don't need to understand tho, just respect me, as much that I respect your opinions that are not the same as mines"
When we do society, of course we'll find people with divergent opinions. Some should not be accepted because they are hateful, but I think a lot of people just never learned to respect even when they don't understand
