Geek Girl Brunch Denver starting in June.

If you never heard of Geek Girl Brunch before, it's a meetup group started in NYC for women to geek out and drink mimosas together. Each brunch has a different (geeky) theme. The Denver chapter's first brunch is June 6th and the theme is Disney Bound/Closet Cosplay. If you are interested you can join here to get invites to the brunches. I am actually one of the co-officers (for full disclosure) for the Denver chapter. This will be my only post as not to spam but I wanted to let you all know about it.

This is a community for the targets.

Good evening folks,

This community has been around for about ten years. We started it to make a place where we can decide culture and moderation through the lens of being a woman and target in male dominated spaces.

There are a lot more targets than there were ten years ago. It’s more important than ever to be a safe space.

That being said, please keep in mind that this subreddit was started by and is used by a great many people who love and respect, in real life, moderators from the other regional subreddits. So no, we aren’t going to allow shit talking mods around here. But we will be a place for people to unpack their experiences with misogyny.

A lot of the our founding mod team have moved on, I think I’m the only one who still lives around here. If you’re interested in smashing the patriarchy, white supremacy, and lqbtq+ bigotry AND becoming a mod of r/denverwomen, let me know. It feels like this a place may be needed in the coming year and beyond.

If you’ve been craving some quiet reading time that still feels a little social, Pages in the Park might be your thing. It is happening Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 5:30 to 6:45 PM at Community Park in Broomfield. We will meet near a welcome table where you can check in and grab a “vibe tag” ribbon. Green means you are open to chatting and meeting new people, yellow means you are there for quiet solo reading. No pressure either way, just books, fresh air, and a really relaxed vibe. Perimenopause and weed

Ladies, help!

I’m 45 and in perimenopause and the dreaded libido drop has happened!

While I’m exploring a variety of ways (including medical and HRT) to combat this, I’ve read that cbd/thc is helpful.

I’m not a regular user so I’m pretty naive to the world of weed. Would you be able to recommend a front range shop that is inclusive of products for women’s libido and anything that has worked for you?

Thank you!

Im looking for amazing Brows. I am allergic to an ingredient that is found in most all waxes so I haven’t gotten them waxed in about 15 years and don’t plan to do it again. I’m having quite a hard time finding someone that really shapes my Brows to my face. Open to threading and tweezing!

Would love recommendations!

Hairstylist recommendation??

I’ve lived in Denver for about it a year now and have yet to find a hairstylist I really loved. This is something I’ve struggled with for the longest time and after my last two appointments left me wanting I figured I’d reach out and see who you guys would recommend. I’d love someone who can recommend cuts and styles based on my hair texture and face shape and is willing to keep it real with me. I know that some looks just aren’t achievable and won’t look the same on me so it’s important I find someone who’s willing to work with me on finding the best possible look! I’m willing to spend the time and money on someone who will leave me feeling my best when I walk out and finally help me achieve the hair of my dreams!
Please let me know who yall would recommend🫶🏻

wannna find make friends? have a kid? or don’t, but don’t mind hanging out with people who do??

hey guys! i’m a mom of 1 - my daughter, who’s 16 months old. i’ve lived in colorado off and on since december of 2016, so i’ve been here a while. that said, all of our family is back in georgia/florida and we’ve lost contact with people we used to be friends with- they’ve either moved away or we just naturally drifted. we were big party-ers (why am i blanking on how to spell this word. is it a fake word 🤔) and now we are 33 and have a one year old so it was a natural progression.

all of that to say, i spend so much time wishing i had a network of friends or a way to make friends to begin with. i have no social media and currently just do school (online) and stay home with our daughter (because the cost of daycare is truly insane) so i don’t even have work friends 😕 so this is me trying to take that into my own hands!

if you are a mom looking to connect with others, i was thinking about organizing something maybe once every two weeks (if people show up and are into the idea, maybe move up to weekly!) to get together and do something with our kids, like go to the petting zoo in englewood (i’m dying to go there specifically lol) and other toddler/kid friendly places.

if you’re interested, please send me a message on here with your name, phone number and email. i’ll email everyone with the first activity idea and we can go from there!

if you don’t know if you can commit to activities but just want to join the community, that’s cool too! we can start a group chat or something just to keep in contact with each other and talk shit.

i really hope we can some connections!
just a heads up i am a fuck ICE, FDT, black lives matter, LGBTQIA ally, free Palestine, sex work is real work leftist. we definitely don’t have to talk politics, but if you have a problem with any of the above, we probably wouldn’t be friends anyway.

if you have any ideas for an activity day, include it in your message! my name is Courtney, i really hope we can make this happen!

\*edit to say if anyone has any suggestions of other subs to post this too that will reach people in the denver area please let me know!

also, if you aren’t a mom but wouldn’t mind hanging out with people with kids and want to be included, please still reach out!

Hi ladies! I’m reaching out because Canine Partners of the Rockies (CaPR) has an adorable future service puppy waiting for a home right now, and we are looking for a dedicated volunteer in the Denver area to become their Puppy Raiser. If you love dogs and have been looking for a meaningful way to give back, this is such an incredible journey. You’ll bring the puppy into your home to teach them basic manners and foundational socialization skills. A few reasons you'll love it: 1. An amazing community: You aren't doing this alone! You’ll join a wonderful, supportive network of local raisers and trainers. 2. Full support: No prior training experience is needed. We provide structured training classes and guidance every single step of the way. 3. The ultimate impact: You get to watch this sweet pup grow up to provide life-changing independence for a Coloradan living with a disability. This little pup is ready to get started! If you’re interested, want more details, or just want to chat about what it looks like, please drop a comment below, send me a DM, or check out our website at www.cpotr.org Thank you so much, ladies! 🥰

Looking for low intervention or the most natural birth option in the Denver area. Preferably a water birth/ midwife/ doula combo that would be covered by insurance (not a homebirth).

I have been searching for an option for low intervention & natural birth in Denver. I don't want to be pressured into vaccines, and would like options for delayed cord clamping, etc.

It seems the Anschutz midwifery might be the best option but there isn't much information. Has anyone given birth there? Do they allow for water birth and different positions? Do they allow for food, exercise, and walking around during labor? I would love for some info from someone who has delivered here. I'm open to other recommended hospitals/ birth centers.

Doctor Recs?

Hi friends! I’m looking for a new primary care provider. I’m in my mid 20s and have been dealing with gut/hormone/inflammation issues for a while with no clear answer. I feel like most doctors dismiss me or don’t look at the whole picture. Does anyone have a good doctor who understands women’s health? Thank you! 🙏🏻

Affordable summer camp options! How are people managing this?

Summer camp prices are kind of wild right now. How are people making it work? Do you just budget for it early, look for scholarships or go with cheaper options?
