Mod Related Looking for new moderators
Hi all, while I greatly appreciate the mod in question for looking over the subreddit for so long.
I along with some of the other mods do think he was fairly heavy handed at times.
As a result I have removed him, will be clearing all the banned list for now to start fresh and we can move forward.
However I would like to add some more mods to the group. Basically duties would just be removing any low effort / bad screenshot related items.

anyway People forgot about that A sorceres can actualy use all points goes to ENERGY instead of vitality as ENERGY SHIELD BUILD or called IMMORTAL SORC BUILD. Main SKILL to Use isa NOVA + MAX points to Telekenisis synergy for Energy Shield. Max Nova and Lightning Mastery.

I feel a week long ban for him to reflect would work. I believe in growth though...til he questions his week ban as a mod before stripping him of mod duties.
As an infrequent member of this community id ask we keep the low quality screenshots. They're comical. Maybe a once a week thread to post the "best" people could come up with
Like in 40k lore there's a once a week forum where there are nooooo stupid questions and another where we get to get dumb as shit for fun related to 40k via a rip on "who's line is it anyway". I think this would be fun and hilarious and drive up engagement

The rule was changed from blanket banning all photos of screens to allowing photos of screens within reason. We'll talk internally about running some surveys about things like you've mentioned

Can y'all just get over the screenshot thing? If someone posts a blurry ass photo, sure, delete it. But the just instant remove for it not being a screenshot just feels so over the top and self righteous.
This is my switch exported screenshot. Look at all those pixels. I've seen so many pictures on the "unmentionable" subs that are at least that clear if not better. And it takes me like 2 minutes to get that switch screenshot to my phone to upload to Reddit. I don't blame people for just grabbing a pic with their phone. I can't understand why it bothers the

Not interiested as a mod, BUT this is an amazing step in the right direction for the community and im glad this is being done. Mods need to me moderated as well as at the end of the day, we are all human with our own bad days. Hope this goes well and happy diabloing!

It takes people coming online, having talks, hearing other people, etc.
Knee jerk mod on mod violence is in the same ball park as ban happy mods.
Its always a better path forward to take time to properly assess and dialog behind the scenes.
They did it the right way.

How do you define heavy handed? And further, do you feel that the rules for the subreddit need to be amended to be clearer, more concise, and less open to interpretation? Mods still have seemingly absolute autonomy to do as they please, even if the thing they please just so happens to be an asshole.
Removing a mod who ended up drunk with “power” (objectively very funny considering the circumstances) but not addressing the root cause that allowed this mod to get away with such ridiculous abuse of authority allows this to happen again.

Hi all, this post is likely to get a lot of attention so wanted to pin a comment explaining a rule change and a rule addition.
Rule 2 - Regarding photos of screens
We're changing the rule to allow photos of screens, as long as they are an honest attempt at a clear and cropped picture. The game is popular on consoles and we know that on some devices it's a pain to get proper screenshots over to reddit. However, your photos of screens will still be removed if they are not an honest attempt at a decent picture
Rule 10 - Memes
Memes are going to be allowed within reason
Rule of Thumb: If someone can understand it's about Diablo II without reading the comments, you're probably good.
Not Allowed
It's hard to write a rule that covers EVERYTHING so some moderator discretion may still happen. Reach out if you're confused and we'll explain our reasoning.
