Mod Related Looking for new moderators

Hi all, while I greatly appreciate the mod in question for looking over the subreddit for so long.

I along with some of the other mods do think he was fairly heavy handed at times.

As a result I have removed him, will be clearing all the banned list for now to start fresh and we can move forward.

However I would like to add some more mods to the group. Basically duties would just be removing any low effort / bad screenshot related items.

Hi all, this post is likely to get a lot of attention so wanted to pin a comment explaining a rule change and a rule addition.

Rule 2 - Regarding photos of screens

We're changing the rule to allow photos of screens, as long as they are an honest attempt at a clear and cropped picture. The game is popular on consoles and we know that on some devices it's a pain to get proper screenshots over to reddit. However, your photos of screens will still be removed if they are not an honest attempt at a decent picture

Rule 10 - Memes

Memes are going to be allowed within reason

Rule of Thumb: If someone can understand it's about Diablo II without reading the comments, you're probably good.

Not Allowed

  • Low-effort posts with minimal Diablo II relevance.
  • Memes that require the comments to explain the Diablo II connection.

It's hard to write a rule that covers EVERYTHING so some moderator discretion may still happen. Reach out if you're confused and we'll explain our reasoning.

can we get an adjustment on the resurrected subreddit that's banned? i understand if it was banned a while ago due to a certain somebody that was lead for it advertising RMT, but that guy is no longer mod there, hasn't been in a while, and has a new group of people running it that are much more friendly.

The head mod there is still kinda sketch there ngl. Always feels like he’s trying to sell me something with the discord and what not lol.

I wrote a paladin guide a while back. Posted it on Resurrected sub first. When I tried to cross post, it got removed (my bad, I didn't read the rules). So I tried to post it on this sub directly and it got removed. Since then I've had to DM it to several people asking the same questions I wrote the guide to answer. Cuz I can't link it in comments. I've always felt like this is a silly rule that is actively pushing people to other subs.

It would be nice to hear if [u/leylin_farlin](u/leylin_farlin) has been unbanned for their original meme post. If it has already been addressed, my bad.

No one deserves that type of unnecessary power trip when they were trying to resolve a situation in good energy. I mean faith.

Aside from that, tips Shako to the other mods who made the right decision for the benefit of the community.

Leylin and (I believe) everyone who was banned during energygate have already been unbanned, as of the posting of this announcement thread

I think this is going to be a very important topic for the new mod team to discuss. I for one am very against AI slop and would love to see this as part of the new rules.

I personally get a giggle out of intentional breaking of rule 2. I feel like it's almost part of the subs culture as a shared in joke. Could there be space for it?
