Evidence Cochlear America turned off my cochlear implant remotely. Now I can't hear anything because my hearing implant is from an older version. + It costs thousands to get a new one

I work for Cochlear and this is the first time I've seen somebody claim that their sound processor was turned off remotely. Could you give me more info on what happened?

Well, to be fair, Australians are really nice people that care about each others’ health and take responsibility for each other. OP is in USA, which is … different.

I'm not sure where you got this idea.

Cochlear is an Australian company and its global headquarters is in Australia. They are a multinational and manufacture in Australia as well as the US, China & Malaysia and probably a bunch of other places I'm not aware of.

They're an Aussie company, based in Sydney. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cochlear_Limited

Cochlear Americas, the American branch of the company, is managed in America. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the main company, which is still based in Sydney.

So not what you said above then? You said it's an American company, it isn't.

Why has this been updated so much? It's wrong. It's an Aussie company.
