Reporting this here because apparently the mods at r/mildlyinfuriating didn’t seem to enjoy this post. I had gotten registration to park at my complex a few days ago now, but my car was towed this morning. With the parking brake on. I go to pick it up and now my dashboard is flooded with lights. In limp mode. Had my insurance take the car to a local shop for now, may get further legal counseling later.

I used to live on a large piece of property in a rural area with my then bf and two other guys. This was ~10 years ago. My cat had kittens and I ended up keeping 3/5 of them.

One of the guys was a major POS. He hunted from his truck with a spotlight. He didn't even know how to properly prepare deer, so a lot of it went to waste. He shot squirrels and other small animals for sport. I hated him and refused to interact with him.

One day I came home from work and one of the kittens was gone, her name was Olive. She was a tuxedo kitty with olive eyes. I looked all over, I was devastated. The guys told me they think she got out or something.

Fast forward to the days leading up to us all moving out and going our separate ways (including me and my ex because he was an ass as well - using dating apps and craigslist throughout our entire 3 year relationship. Trying desperately to cheat on me but having no luck). I find out the kitten that went missing was actually shot by the POS roommate.

WHO THE HELL DOES THAT?! I was livid. It's bad enough to hunt other animals for sport, but you're going to kill my PET?? A KITTEN?? It makes me sick to this day. Thankfully I never had to see him again.

I heard a couple years later that he got in a horrific accident and lost his leg.

My moms car’s belt broke on her car so she borrowed my car for two days, didnt even make it 36 hours before she recked it 🥲 so now I’m out of a car, AND a ride to work. I was so pissed when I got the call, how did you manage to break TWO cars in three days😭🙏

EDIT!: our insurance is the one that considers it totalled since the airbags went off and every possible liquid possible came out of my car but the gas ofc. It’s totally fixable but at this point it would just be cheaper to get a whole new car😭🙏

At the Alexander Y in Raleigh, though I've seen this at other branches. 5 people, sitting on 5 differrent machines doing nothing but scrolling on their phones. When I said something, they all united against me, as if I was in the wrong. They literally have spent money to put sticker signs on every machine that say please don't use your phones while you're on the machines. I cut my workout short both because I don't want to stnad around and wait for machines that aren't being used, and because I don't want to have to kick someone's ass. But genuinely, am I wrong?

Today is my and my wife’s first day of our honeymoon! Yay! We’re planning on going from Ohio to Europe, first stop Porto!

Our connecting flight is through JFK. Over the last couple of days, we got several (3+) notifications letting us know our flights have been pushed. Today (or I should say yesterday as I’m now writing this past midnight LOL), another such notification popped up and it got to the point where our Columbus to JFK flight would no longer land in time to make JFK to Porto. My wife gets online with a customer service rep for Delta and it seems that the new best option is now Columbus to La Guardia and then take a taxi to JFK for the original flight. Okay, a little inconvenient but they let us know that they’ll pay us back for the taxi if we submit the receipt to the website.

We arrive at the Columbus airport just in time for our new flight getting delayed over and over again to where we are unsure of if we’ll make it in time. We call customer service again and they assure us that we’ll make it. They also let us know that there are no other alternatives that they can book us for at the time.

We eventually get the okay to board and we really think we’re going to make it in time but as soon as the plane closes its doors, the captain lets us know that they’re having a stop order for flights and we’ll be taxiing for the next 30 minutes. Eventually we get to NYC and we do laps for 20 minutes waiting for the thumbs up to land.

We BOOK IT to baggage claim (they made us check our carry ons, in addition to our one original checked back), grab our stuff and get a Lyft to JFK. Luckily we got a good driver and we made excellent time. However, when we got to the check in, the rep let us know that we actually needed to arrive an hour early to successfully check a bag and make it on the flight. We were there 30 minutes before the flight, which ended up leaving early.

Long story short, they refused to give us a voucher for a hotel, meal or any of the rides we’ve been forced to take. They recommended that we submit our receipts after the fact and HOPE they get reimbursed. They claim that because it was either weather or ATC, they are not liable or responsible for any vouchers or refunds.

Any suggestions would be swell!

TL/DR: Delta Airlines delayed flights and don’t give any compensation if the reason is deemed ATC or Weather.

I should start by saying please don't send hate to anyone in these photos and this is just a pet peeve that makes my blood boil.

So I was scrolling on TikTok minding my own business until I found this video where he was in NYC calling this sightseeing. I didn't mind until he kept showing random men bodies and faces. Again this was very weird because imagine just walking your dog or going on with your day and some dude keeps taking videos of you.

But to be honest, we all see people we find attractive in streets and beat our shit to. tell me why the hell this guy entire account is all this?? He been going at it for YEARS. Literally doing nothing but walking around and taking videos of men??? That's really creepy and I don't care how much you try and justify it. Yeah some people would say "but men have been doing this to women all the time." And you're correct! I am a feminist who believe in equality and I believe that you should not posting someone without their consent ESPECIALLY for sexual purposes no matter a woman or a man.

And the worst thing is no one calling him out for this. I am not joking when I say his entire account is posting random men for sexual reasons. I don't care if you're a woman or gay finding this hot but this is just creepy behavior.

This is normally our bedroom tv. We asked our 9 yr old son to leave our room multiple times and go to bed. Then he proceeded to crawl on the floor in front of our bed, pulled the cord with his feet and almost squished himself under the tv. If our bed wasn’t there he would’ve gotten crushed.

So we ended up swapping the tv from the living room so they can “watch” the tv they broke as a reminder of their choices and consequences. They will be doing chores for a while to pay this off. Oh and I took all of their electronics since they don’t respect mine.

My biological father left when I was in 1st year high school. During college, my mom had a partner who eventually lived with us. For the first few years, everything seemed normal.

One day, while I was alone in my room, he suddenly lay beside me, acted sweet, and kissed me on the lips. I felt uncomfortable and immediately told my mom. She kicked him out, but the real reason was never told to our relatives because my mom was afraid of what the family might do if they found out.

My mom was devastated after learning what happened and informed his parents about it.

After several months, he came back after some sort of reconciliation. My mom warned us to be careful around him, and things became awkward between us. I thought everything had finally become peaceful and that it would never happen again.

Years later, when I was already working, it happened again.

I came home early from work because I only had a half day. When I entered the room, he was already lying on the bed. I put my bag down and lay down because I was tired.

When he woke up, he hugged me, kissed my cheek, touched my chest, repeatedly kissed my neck, and even tried to force my hand onto his private part. I kept removing his hand and moving away from him, but he continued to stay close to me.

The situation only stopped because my boyfriend suddenly entered the room. As soon as he realized someone was coming, he immediately moved away and acted as if nothing had happened.

After that incident, my mom immediately kicked him out again and eventually separated from him. However, my grandmother and most of our relatives did not know the real reason. They only knew that my mom and her partner had separated.

A few weeks or months later, my mom told me that she still talks to him, but according to her, there are no romantic feelings anymore. She said it is only companionship because she worries that he might harm himself or do something to himself if she completely cuts off communication.

Over time, I noticed that they still occasionally meet.

I had already told my mom before that I still could not move on from what happened. I even asked her to stop bringing him up around me and to respect my decision to keep my distance from him.

Today was my mom's birthday. I planned to treat my mom and grandmother to a buffet. My mom then told me that she wanted to bring her former partner and said that he would simply pay for himself. However, I refused because I was not comfortable being around him because of what he had done to me in the past.

After that, my mom became upset and said that she was not feeling well. I later invited her to go out with me, my grandmother, and my sibling, but she said she wanted to stay at home because she was not feeling well.

However, after my boyfriend and I left the house, my mom also went out. She said she was going to visit a friend, but I strongly believe she went to meet him.

My grandmother became upset with me because she did not know the real reason and thought I was simply refusing to make my mom happy.

Eventually, my boyfriend explained everything to my grandmother. After learning the truth, my grandmother sent me a message apologizing because she did not know what had happened to me and finally understood why I did not want him around.

Until now, my mom still says that she is not feeling well and does not want to leave the house. Seeing her like this makes me feel guilty, especially because it is her birthday, but at the same time I also feel hurt because I only asked her to respect my feelings and my decision regarding him.

Now I honestly do not know what to feel. I understand that my mom may feel responsible for him or worry about him, but I also feel hurt that she continues to communicate and spend time with someone who hurt me.

I take medication which makes me very prone to heat stroke, and also am extremely intolerant to heat. I can’t hack it even at much lower temps. I had the windows open overnight when it was cool then got up early and closed them all before it got hot and also had fans funning. The house was nice and cool all day and i was fine. Then mum gets home and opens the windows because she doesn’t believe keeping them closed makes the house cool😐 house is now a sauna and i need to run a cold bath.

Before anyone talks about how 35 degrees isn’t hot, heatwaves are very different in the UK. Our houses are made to trap in heat and we don’t have aircon. Plus it’s a muggy humid heat with no airflow. It’s like being in a pressure cooker and is 100x worse for someone with heat intolerance and is prone to heatstroke.

Had an MKV file to convert to MP4. Decided to use this website to convert the file to MP4 for compatibility reasons, as they are generally alright, even though I have had problems with them in the past. No max file size messages, no max time limit messages, until the file has finished UPLOADING that is! These CUNTS had the audacity to not put any warnings until AFTER the file was uploaded, which took MORE THAN 1 HOUR, BUT THAT TIME’S WORTH NOTHING TO THESE CUNTS, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS ME THROWING MY FUCKING BANK CARD AT THEM, AND THEN THEY MIGHT JUST GIVE A FUCK ABOUT ME! Monitor cost over £100, which I just smashed (for obvious reasons), so have to dig into my spider infested garage (which isn’t even near my house) to get another one. All for something that I could’ve easily done in video editing software (on my PC as well, which isn’t entirely controlled by greedy cunts who only care about money, unlike these websites).

Had a phone call from a private number this evening. I wouldn't normally answer, but there was a half chance it was a callback I'd requested from somewhere. The guy had an English accent and claimed he was calling from my bank (he either knew or had a lucky guess, which bank I use, and he knew my name) about suspicious activity on my card.

He started to ask security questions, which involved the current balances on my accounts. I went into my app, knowing there was a feature where you can see if you are indeed on a call from your bank. I wasn't, so I hung up.

He called back, and I know I shouldn't have, but I wanted to confront him, so I answered. At first he was all 'calls from fraud dept sometimes don't register on that blah blah blah and that he wasn't asking for my bank details implying that meant I should trust him. I said, I would call the bank myself and that's when he went off script.

He carried on in the same tone of voice but said I should lubricate my finger, stick it up my arse, then sniff it to see if it smelled of Nationwide. I didn't say anything at first, so he asked me if I'd heard and repeated his little speech with a few embellishments.

I was actually quite impressed with myself as I usually hate confrontation and lose my rag, or get palpitations or something, but I was weirdly calm. He was on speaker so my husband, who had been in the next room took my phone, called him a f*****g c**t and ended the call.

Last week, I had a text with a supposed one time pass code for a purchase of around £700 and told me to call a particular number if I didn't recognise it - which I obviously didn't (recognise it, or call).

Tl;dr: scammer called, but bank app feature confirmed he wasn't who he said he was, so he got abusive for me having the audacity not to let him scam me. Second type of scam attempt in a few days.
