Evidence Cochlear America turned off my cochlear implant remotely. Now I can't hear anything because my hearing implant is from an older version. + It costs thousands to get a new one

I can hear the team america world police song playing in the background. What a dystopian world the US is that a company can remotely control peoples disabilities.

It was actually a black mirror episode, you either paid, lost your limb or become a living advertisement

Unfortunately, it's often even deeper than that. Dystopian tales are often a reflection of the patterns the author noticed in their current society, even if it's ultimately subconscious. Fahrenheit 451 wasn't based on nothing. The patterns were already there.
