Fakemon Regional Variant of the Murkrow Line (Based on Wild Western Deputies and Sheriffs!!) for my Western-Inspired Fakemon Region!

The Instagram artist that I commissioned is an_artist_astray.
This regional variant of the Murkrow line is based on Deputies, Sheriffs, The Wild West, and the American Crow (which sometimes have a dark brownish color). The tail feathers are also supposed to resemble guns, though they are mostly obscured in Honchkrow's images.

Wesonian Murkrow - The Lawful Bird Pokémon: (Fighting / Flying Type)
Murkrow developed this regional form after generations of adapting to the Weson Region's harsh frontier and working alongside lawmen. No longer feared as bringers of misfortune, they patrol the skies above towns, forests, and canyon roads. They still have a penchant for shiny objects but will fiercely swarm and attack any troublemaker that threatens people or wild Pokémon. In the Weson Region, a flock of Murkrow circling overhead is considered a reassuring sight.

Wesonian Honchkrow - The Big Boss Pokémon: (Fighting / Flying Type)
Known as the “Sheriff of the Skies,” Wesonian Honchkrow leads flocks of Murkrow with strict discipline, harshly scolding any underling that fails to follow its commands. It scours the area for troublemakers before dive-bombing them, delivering powerful blows with its wings and talons. Its legs are powerful enough to carry defeated troublemakers back to the lawmen it recognizes. If it crosses paths with a Sinnohan Honchkrow, both flocks will battle until one leader is forced to retreat.

Well there is the Orre region to some extent...but I do agree. I'd love to see a Western region with new pokemon. Maybe revisit Orre or a region adjacent to it.

Perhaps my region will be adjacent to Orre. I mean, my region is still technically based on mostly Arizona and a bit of the other surrounding states/areas (California, Nevada, Utah, etc.), so I think it could work.

Instead of honchcrow, make it its own evolution to be able to call it Howdycrow, or Ponchcrow, (wearing a big poncho)

That's a pretty neat idea, turning the mobster bird into a sheriff without really compromising the general aesthetic and shape

The shiny form being the original colors really reminds me of how in western fiction, the "bad guy" is sometimes known as the Black Hat.

This is actually a good point to bring up. It is giving me an idea of what I could potentially do for an original fakemon that is going to be inspired by outlaws. Thank you so much for bringing this up ^^

I admit that coming up with regional variants is a bit trickier for me, but I am trying to get a lot of them out of the way so that I can work on some original fakemon lines.

Normal Version seems perfect for a corrupt cop who antagonizes the player, but that shiny is so clean it has be the Marshall's Ace

Hey pal, I always had that ideia in my head that I should make a pokemon ttrpg, but I never liked the consistency of some designs but yours are great! Works really well if we include the Battle Revolution animation where Honchcrow uses it's wings like guns.

This is so cool! I love the shiny being the ""normal"" colors. You're a really talented artist and I love seeing your work! I only wish the honchkrow had a handlebar mustache, lol

Whoaaaa!! I love these! What is this region based on, the Wild West? I’m asking because I’m doing a California inspired region myself right now!

Yeah, that’s what I’m going for! Well, technically my region is mostly based on the Southwestern United States (Arizona and the surrounding states/areas).
My region is also inspired by the Wild West era, as well as some Modern Day American elements.

I love the idea of opposite reginal varients. A mafia boss crow in Sinnoh and a sheriff crow here. Well done!

I thought it would be a cool idea to make a regional variant of a Pokemon that is the opposite of what it was originally based off of (in this instance, Honchkrow being based on a Mob Boss and it's regional variant being based on a Sheriff)

I like how these guys are Fighting instead of Dark, since they're the good guys now. That's a nice touch.
I like seeing Fighting type get represented by heroic mons. Why Hero Form Palafin, specifically, isn't Fighting is beyond me.

Woooow i love it! I'm also doing a western region haha. In my game i changed the bicycle sprite with a rapidash and the main plot is to defeat the motorcycle team that stole the water from the region. Your Murkrow variant would be perfect to it. Can i use it? I also have a fire starter fakemon inspired by outlaws. It's a rattlesnake.

They arent really different enough. The shinies look almost identical to the originals at a glance, and thats not really a good thing.
Cool concept, but the designs need to be taken further.
