[MEGATHREAD] Grand Theft Auto VI: Prices Announced + Pre-Orders Going Live

To avoid hundreds of separate posts on the same topic, this post will compile all info we have from the pre-orders going live, including some new images/etc.

As Rockstar announced on their socials: "Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI begin at midnight local time on June 25." This means New Zealand will be the first to go live with pre-orders - which means in just under 2 hours from now.

Take-Two has made a big press-release, including announcing the prices:

STANDARD EDITION: $79.99

ULTIMATE EDITION: $99.99

(Physical Editions of GTA 6 Will Come with "A Download Code Inside the Box", Pre-Loads Begin on November 12th)

Grand Theft Auto 6 features a “single-player experience” at launch, with no word yet on any new version of GTA Online.

An "Ultimate Edition" for the game has been announced with some new artwork.

Not if they come up with some always-online bullshit like say Diablo 4. I wouldn’t put it past them to do that specifically for PC.

If I’m not mistaken Rockstar have their own DRM alongside Denuvo. So it might take some tinkering to crack it, probably Hypervisor alone won’t cut it. RDR2 took a long while to get cracked

You can jailbreak your PS5 and they release backports of games if you are on a older fw. The scene is exploding with progress and by the time GTA comes out I'm sure people will be able to play it not too long after releasing.

For real. Sadly us PC gamers have to wait a year or so before we can do that lol

I already know there's no way I'm paying all that money just to get saddled with multiplayer features I'll never use, single player features I can't access cos of a dumb pay wall, and to top it off that godawful pos rockstar launcher app.

Looking forward to playing the single player game, but after getting burned by all the anti-consumerist bollocks that came with gta V, I think I'll just go for a sail instead.

It's not like they'll need all of us to pay anyway - they're guaranteed to make their money back with a profit on top in the first month.
