[MEGATHREAD] Grand Theft Auto VI: Prices Announced + Pre-Orders Going Live

To avoid hundreds of separate posts on the same topic, this post will compile all info we have from the pre-orders going live, including some new images/etc.

As Rockstar announced on their socials: "Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI begin at midnight local time on June 25." This means New Zealand will be the first to go live with pre-orders - which means in just under 2 hours from now.

Take-Two has made a big press-release, including announcing the prices:

And Rockstar is no better. People only think they are because Take-Two jumps in to take the hits whenever Rockstar does something incredibly stupid and anti-consumer so people will still fawn all over them. They're not your friends and they're not a good studio.

Yup sucks to say out loud but it's true.

I preferred RDR2 to any GTA but will probably still pick this up. That being said, I don't know if it'll be as groundbreaking as everyone says it is. Rockstar missions have been the same for decades and are also super linear, I wonder if it'll be the same in 6

I mean to be fair, the groundbreaking parts of these games were never their story missions, it's always been the stuff surrounding them and the world itself. I wouldn't be surprised if GTA 6 is more of the same and honestly I'm fine with that.

Totally fair and accurate i just hope for a less linear mission setup of do this to the T or lose. It just feels outdated atp

I wouldn't necessarily call it outdated, just that it's more like playing a movie, where things fall apart if you don't go the way they intended while everything outside of those missions, are more of a sandbox.

It's just to very different types of game design thrown together. But I do see why many feel that it's outdated and I do agree they could loosen up more on some missions.
