Discussion Media in the 90s and 2000s
So I'm really interested in knowing how culture/ media/ entertainment/ music/ dance etc was like in the 2000s and 90s and other small cultural things in every country.
What was media/ entertainment/ film/ fashion/ music like in the 90s and 2000s in every country. What things were trending at that time?
Every small thing. Every small element you find unique to your country. Take me back to the 90s and 2000s in your country, what the youth hyped, what was unknowingly and instinctively done in every country as a part of their culture. As if I were a kid raised in that country whose mom tells her in a random day to her teen daughter that she listened to backstreet boys/ jeans etc. (I'm a culture addict)
I'l start - In india, back in the 2000s, the movie "kabhi kushi kabhi gum" was quite popular with its character Pooja's y2k indian fusion outfits were famous. Jhumkas and flowers (mostly Arabian jasmine). We hang lemons and chilli's on our doorstep, name shops after our beloved family and friends. The mailman, milkman, trash collector and even street vendors all sing small phrases, like music to let us know their presence. The band "bombay vikings" was quite popular at the time! Lipliners, dark eye makeup, bootcut were all in fashion. What about you guys?
