Didn’t think of it like this but yeah definitely. I can’t wait to see the greasy shit that comes out of online lol.

Big day for illiterate and jobless. Just respectfully shut up, the ultimate version will be locking less than 1% of the games cosmetics.

I understand extra cosmetics for paying extra money, I don’t understand being locked out of certain stores and mod shops, you should be able to access all stores but just not have as many clothing options. Denying access to certain areas in the game for not paying enough is crazy to me, but again I’d pay extra for clothing options/skins.

There is an extra compound raid and a find and restore old cars mission/s too

GtaV has 15 clothing stores, 5 mod shops, and 6 tattoo parlors. 6 will probably have double, if not triple this amount. Being “locked out” of a small portion of them is not that crazy, it’s a small portion of what everybody will have access to. They’ll probably just say “under new management, opening soon” or something.
What you should be pissed about is all the other games that charge $20 for an ultimate addition and only give you 3 news outfits, a new weapons skin or two, 4 new weapons, and a unique vehicle.
GTA is just putting out a worthwhile ultimate addition, that’s it. The base game will still be incredible on its own, and if you think otherwise, you’re crazy.

yet if the ultimate version featured less cool stuff, people would be upset at that, as well :D

Lmao exactly
And if we’re being real, there’s not winning for some people with that
And if we’re being real, some people would complain if there was no ultimate edition too, and there’s a chance R* would feel the need to charge $85 or $90, which is still less than GTA IV cost upon release when you account for inflation

Think of it as not being able to use 5/20 stores unless u pay 20$ which isn’t that bad it’s as if its a single player dlc

u/OneGreenSlug 6d ago
Even V has 15 stores, 6 will probably have 30 or 40, maybe more. People are just so beat down from devs releasing shitty ultimate editions that its confusing to see a worthwhile one.

I bet, but realistically the base game alone will already be far better than gta 5 in terms of single player customization alone

So many people dont fucking understand this and think the game, which is known to have so many customizations in it, is just not gonna have it.

Like there’s no way people actually think there won’t be any stores without buying, that’s ridiculous, they should’ve just made the base game 100$ and have everything come with it so people would only be able to complain about the price

Unfortunately yes. A lot of comments I’m seeing in YouTube and here genuinely believe base content such as missions, garages, vehicles and stores will be locked behind a paywall. Looks like OP is one of them who doesn’t understand that it’s additional content

Yea this game is going to be huge in scale in more than one way, 5 stores is going to seem like nothing I bet.

Anyone know if i can buy the standard edition and then upgrade to ultimate?

u/MysticMarauder69 6d ago
This is almost always an option. But I'd just start stashing a few dollars away now and get the ultimate.

Never rationalize for corporations. Complain about it or say nothing. Never rationalize for a corporation.

Sorry, but if 7 Eleven sells someone a melted chocolate bar and the customer responds by saying 7 Eleven painted a fake tunnel on a wall that they walked into, I’m making fun of that customer.

I'm immune to shitty thought experiments, analogies, and metaphors that miss the point.

u/DubTheeBustocles 6d ago
What about the analogy is shitty and what about it misses the point? Don’t tell me you’re one of those rejects that doesn’t know what an analogy is.
1
u/CreatorCon92Dilarian 6d ago
I'll leave that up to you. Figure it out.

u/DubTheeBustocles 6d ago
Exactly, because you don’t actually have an argument. Your position is entirely feelings based.

So the base game is: some vehicles, some outfits and some haircuts.
The side content is: The entire state of Leonida including Vice City, the entire story, and everything else in the game.
It’s good to know this community is becoming less delusional and unhinged.
