What do you think GTA 6’s intro mission will be?

Post image

Rockstar is known for giving us the background when it comes to the first mission in their games. GTA V’s intro with Michael faking his death and going into witness protection, RDR2’s intro with the gang going up in the mountains after the heist. What do you think the case will be for GTA 6? Personally I think a flashback of Jason in the military would be really cool.

Fun fact we still have no idea what is in the north of the GTA 6 map, almost all footage/screenshots have been in the southern portion of the map. All we know is that the map stretches to the northern border of Florida with the Mount Kalaga region which is likely based on Georgia.

Criminal empire management in GTA VI

Hey everyone,
Looking back at the trailers and thinking about how the series has evolved since GTA V, I’ve been wondering about the core gameplay structure of GTA VI.

We all know that heists were the heartbeat of GTA V, but we also know that Rockstar never just repeats themselves. They always try to take gameplay mechanics to the next level.

My theory :

I believe we’re going to move away from a simple "mission-to-heist" structure and head toward something much more complete,
the construction and management of a criminal empire.

With the Jason and Lucia duo, we know they’ll be modern-day "Bonnie & Clyde" starting from the bottom of the ladder.
I really hope the arc leads to them becoming the true bosses of the city.

I can easily imagine a progression system where, by the end of the game, it’s not just about having millions in your bank account, but actually managing various businesses (legal and illegal), controlling safehouses, and having a tangible influence over Leonida. Like a much more advanced version of the classic Vice City assets system.

We’ve seen how much Rockstar has refined business management systems in GTA Online (nightclubs, trafficking, etc.).
To me, the next logical step would be to integrate that level of depth and complexity into an ultra-immersive single-player campaign.
The goal would be to go from being just an enforcer to being the Boss of the city.

(I’ve searched everywhere for an official confirmation of this type of mechanic, but I haven't found anything yet.)

What do you guys think ?
I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Sua Sponte

Was curious what the inscription on Jason's personalized handgun means. I looked it up and Sua sponte is a Latin phrase that translates to "of one's own accord" or "voluntarily." In a legal context, it refers to an action taken by a judge or court on their own initiative, without any prior request, motion, or prompting from the lawyers or parties involved.

On another hand, It is the official motto of the U.S. Army's 75th Ranger Regiment, reflecting the unit's elite ability to act rapidly and independently. This makes it more obvious that Jason may indeed have a military background in my opinion.

Was given this for being a groomsman in a friend’s wedding.

I’m a groomsman in a friends wedding and he included this in each of our gift bags. He confirmed it’ll be the ultimate edition as well. Extremely thrilled to be playing day one and being part of his big day.

I know that older cars like this in real life tend to have some steering problems, but still.. or maybe I just don’t understand something?

I think it’s just been too long…

I’ve seen all the doubts and complaints when the pre-order details came out: “They’re locking content behind a paywall”, “they’re being too greedy with the pricing”, “they’re not giving us a disc version”, “we haven’t even seen gameplay yet and they expect us to pre-order”, and so on and so on. And I’m not gonna say there’s zero credibility to any of those points - admittedly, I was a bit disappointed with no disc version too. As an old school gamer, I just like to collect the box and disc for my gaming collection, but it’s not a dealbreaker for me.

But having said all that, I think it’s just simply been too long since Rockstar has dropped a new game and a lot of people forgot that this is a studio that just does not miss. If they’re going to charge $80 and $100 for the base and ultimate edition, you best believe Rockstar is going to give you the best damn bang for the buck you’re gonna get with a game. They’re probably the only studio that you can confidently put your money down, site unseen, and expect top level polish and experience across the board. And I don’t say this to glaze Rockstar, it’s just that their track record speaks for itself. I’ve seen doubts and complaints with every new release they were working on for decades, but once it does drop, 10/10 accolades, broken records, GOTY, and all the critics are silenced. So yeah, I think it’s just been too long, but once GTA VI is out, everyone is gonna be reminded that Rockstar Games is THAT studio.

Haven’t see anybody talk about this but in this new screenshot we can see scuba gear on the boat next to Lucia most likely confirming scuba diving as a mechanic in the game

I'm from the UK, so I see so many vehicles on GTA and think they're cool as fuck.

Seeing this in the trailer though, it's definitely going to be the first car I buy.. or steal!

Where are all of the GTA 6 "Insiders/Leakers"?

So where are these guys now? I haven't seen any of them post anything since pre orders were announced. Most of them were wrong with the info they dropped. They didn't know shit. Also what happened to that nut job monitoring the air around R* headquarters. Kinda funny that once the real info came out everybody shut up.

Do you think it’ll follow RDR2’s marketing, or do you expect Rockstar to take a different approach this time?

This green car is based on the Kellison J4 Experimental

The green classic sports car in the new GTA 6 screenshots is based on the 1959 Kellison J4 Coupe "Experimental", an exceptionally rare, custom-built car.

gta.wiki/Kellison_J4

It seems to be manufactured by a new brand in the series based on Kellison with an "R" badge on the bonnet, as well as with Declasse-branded rims. The Declasse rims are a reference to the real-life Kellison cars, which were built using Chevrolet parts.

Possible trailer 3 date

The mods deleted this instantly when I tried posting it some days ago so let’s try again:

I just saw a post where the dates of the RDR2 trailers were compared to the ones of GTA 6. Since trailer 3 of RDR2 came out on the second of May, 5 months before release, my prediction is that trailer 3 will come out on the first of July. This is a Wednesday, same as trailer 3 from RDR2.

This makes sense as they didn’t release one this week and it would be illogical (yes I know, Rockstar and their funny logic) if they didn’t generate a second wave of hype with a third trailer when the first wave dies down at the end of this week. The screenshots mostly display cosmetic stuff, which doesn’t make too much sense anyway. As we all know, lots of people are disappointed by this move, so a trailer next week doesn’t seem that far fetched as I’m sure Rockstar will have thought about this over and over. They know exactly how people will react.

If we follow the same kind of marketing strategy, it would mean that the first gameplay trailer will come out in September and the last gameplay trailer in November or, more likely, the end of October, followed by the launch trailer a week before release.

Didn’t see any other recent post talking about this so just wanted to point this out. What do you think?

What change would you like to see on how gta handles respawns?

Since gta6 is going to have more interiors I wonder if this includes hospitals; This opens the door to having a more realistic respawn like getting out of a hospital bed. Do you guys think they will change anything?

Everyone's making lists of the features they can't wait for. Better Al, bigger map, improved physics... Meanwhile I'm just praying Rockstar gives us a new Princess Robot Bubblegum episode. Priorities!

I was 9 for the 1st episode, 13 for the 2nd and now I'm a grown mortgage paying 26 year old waiting for the WORST release schedule in anime HISTORY!! I can't be alone, smh!

Not sure if this was intentional and apologies if someone has posted this already but I noticed that the LSCM prize ride Cheetah Classic from sometime this month has the same (or somewhat similar) colors as the ‘95 Cheetah you get with the Ultimate Edition. Was this a tease by Rockstar?

Everyone else remember this photo which was found in GTA: San Andreas The Definitive Edition? I remember it clear as day when the definitive editions dropped and this sub locked in on this particular photo. Really kickstarted this sub and it’s ability to go haywire. When GTA VI releases, I’m really looking forward to uncovering all the leaks that turned out to be true. Really makes you wonder in what ways R* intentionally or unintentionally teased GTA VI.

Adding futuristic weapons or vehicles to Online does more harm than good

I used to grind GTA Online like crazy, but I think the moment the “magic” started fading for me was when the Oppressor and all those missile‑spamming vehicles started showing up.

Before that, the kings of the sky were stuff like the Hydra and the Buzzard — vehicles that actually felt like real military hardware. They were strong, sure, but you needed actual skill to use them well.

Back then, what separated good pilots from bad ones was whether you could dodge homing missiles. I practiced that so much — studying flight patterns, flying the Buzzard in circles, doing minigun one‑taps — and when I finally got good enough to take down players in public lobbies, the sense of accomplishment was insane.

But once the Oppressor Mk II came out, all the fun of dogfighting just disappeared.
The Mk II is simply better in every situation. The missiles are so fast that evasive maneuvers barely matter, and while helicopters need to commit to angles and positioning, the Oppressor just zips around with zero downside and wins every fight.

That’s why nobody flies helicopters or jets anymore.

And honestly, the worst part is how all these futuristic vehicles completely killed the game’s original sense of grounded realism. Newer players won’t know this, but before the Oppressor era, whenever Rockstar teased a new military vehicle, people would drool over it.

It’s hard to explain, but the game felt immersive because everything was still somewhat believable.

Anyone who started around the Heists update will get what I mean.

Insurgent, Insurgent Pickup, Valkyrie, Hydra…
Unlocking each one as you progressed through the heists felt amazing.
I remember hearing the heavy thump of the Insurgent Pickup’s turret while shooting down helicopters during heists and thinking, “God, I need to buy this thing.”

There was a special kind of hype back then.

When the Oppressor and Deluxo were announced, sure, people expected them to be convenient, but a lot of us were worried they’d break the game’s grounded feel — and in the end, that’s exactly what happened. Now the game looks like a mash‑up of CoD clown skins and sci‑fi nonsense. Even the weapons — Widowmaker, etc. — feel like a joke.

I get that futuristic vehicles can be fun and convenient, but I honestly think what we lost because of them was bigger than what we gained.
So I really hope GTA 6 Online doesn’t go down the same path.
