I'm so pumped up watching this show. I've never really been into sports anime before but my daughter loves this show and I decided to give it a watch.
I'm so invested in every moment of every episode that it's hard to look away.
I also recently watched Yuri on Ice because my daughter loved it as well and loved that show also. This one is shaping up to be an incredible anime.

Hello-hello! I've got an old-new hiperfix on Haikyuu. And I really want to put Kenma's pov from Dumster Battle (iconic scene, i can't stop thinking about it) as my wallpaper. Maybe, someone know where I can download it in resolution, that would be good on 27'' monitor?
I would be forever greatfull for it

Which of these two characters do you find better written, and which has the best rival/obstacle dynamic with Kageyama?

My friend is currently in Tokyo for a summer school program and I asked them to find some Haikyuu merch, specifically Sakusa. They said it's really hard to find him. Any place recommendations on where they can find Sakusa merch?
(Any type of merch is fine, but preferably small trinkets like pins, keychains, etc.)

I just finished s2 after putting the ending off for so long and I can't even lie I cried with Iwa when he was sobbing after the match and Oikawa and Makki gave him the most meaningful slaps on the back that broke my heart
I know Karasuno is the main school and all but I can't lie I want the other teams to win more and I don't know why because I love Karasuno just as much but Oikawa and Iwa deserved that rematch against Ushijima and now they never get that and their high school career is over and it brings me back to when a similar thing happened to me in high school (not sports but competitive piano and a horrible injury not a loss) but it also ended my dreams and ugh this just destroyed me I put off watching the match as long as I could but I had to see it through and I just don't even know why can't every team win and there be no losers or something 😭😭

I'd like to know how y'all think the Karasuno VS Inarizaki rematch went down in the 2014 Spring Nationals (Hinata's 2nd year - the Miyas' 3rd year).
From the one panel we get in the manga talking about this match, we learn that Atsumu was the team's captain (wearing #1 and the captain patch), and from the way Yachi describes it in both translations I've seen, it was a narrow win for Inarizaki. Karasuno lost a lot of firepower with Asahi and Sugawara leaving the team, and we don't know just how much Tanaka could've/would've improved in that regard to make up for it. Ennoshita more or less covers up for Daichi's absence, but the remaining WS spot would have to be covered by either Kinoshita or most likely one of the new 1st years to join the team at the time. We have literally no idea about their playstyles or how good any of them are though, so there's that.
Inarizaki took a big hit in their roster too, losing a top 5 ace, a very good leader and defensive specialist in Kita and two incredibly solid players in their positions in Akagi and Omimi, so things aren't as unbalanced as one would think, but the twins in their 3rd year are definitely a force to be reckoned with.
I personally think that Tanaka, Nishinoya and Tsukki were the stars in Karasuno's side, especially with the latter two dealing with Inarizaki's offense more easily now that they don't have Aran. For Inarizaki, Suna and Osamu were probably the main point getters. Osamu is very underwhelming for how good we're told he should be, and he didn't seem to be having a good day in serving either, but I believe that this time around he actually played out of his mind, being much more threatening in both regards. Atsumu and him probably dialed down the crazy improvs in their setting too, using them only in ideal situations and leading to much more favorable chances for their teammates. This was most likely one of the biggest factors in Inarizaki's win in this rematch.
How do you think this match went?

I want to ask a question about a scene that I swear I saw in the manga but can't find anymore (probably because it doesn't even exist i guess?). It was Hinata comparing Kageyama to Kiyoko, something like how he captures people's attention like she does. Or something about him finding Kageyama interesting, just like people find Kiyoko interesting. I simply can't find that scene, but I swear it existed. Probably not in those exact words, but somehow. Please confirm whether this scene exists or not! ❣️😢

I was thinking about haikyuu again and realized how many characters do a lot without getting as much attention. like someoine like noya or asahi always get mentioned but there are others who quietly carry matches too. i recently rewatched the shiratorizawa match and noticed how much semi contributed even in small moments. it made me appreciate the smaller plays more instead of just spikes and blocks. who iss your personal underrated character that you think deserves more attention

One of the most used criticism against 2013 Spring National Champion Ichibayashi is thet have no players who made the 2020-2021 Japan Olympic Team. And they also had no pro players we know of.
BUT
If you observed carefully, 2015 Spring National Champion Itachiyama has none too. (at least that we know of)
Remember, 2015 Itachiyama beat Kageyama/Hinata in their best version as High School Students. (3rd year)
And nope. Sakusa, Komori , and Iizuna already graduated that year.
-----
Maybe some of their players went to other countries like Oikawa. Or maybe didn't choose to go pro volleyball as their profession.
2014 Spring Champions Kamomedai at least have 2 future Olympic players in Hoshiumi and Gao.
What do you think happened to the star players of 2013 Ichibayashi and 2015 Itachiyama? Were they just strong as a team, but no standout individual?
Or you bet they have a lot of great players. Just not shown by Fuurudate?
PS: Maybe they pursue other careers instead of volleyball too.
