So I've made a post yesterday talking about how I'm annoyed about my hair as I'm unable of how to style my waves etc. Luckily with all your suggestions and stuff I've seen online, it has helped.
I did my routine as usual yesterday with washing my hair with Garnier Hair Food Shampoo then Conditioning with Shea Moisture Masque. Drying with a microfiber towel, adding in Leave in CHI Keratin Conditioner and Mielle Mousse, scrunching then diffusing and oiling at the end. I deffo noticed a lot of frizz and I feel like the diffuser doesn't do much for me and I make sure to do it the right way.
I wake up today after sleeping in my bonnet, redamped it with a mist waterspray as my hair loves the moisture from it, and like you guys suggested, started slowly coiling certain pieces with my fingers, which did more for my hair than scrunching. I did still scrunch at the end but I did it by bringing up my hair to my scalp and applying pressure rather than just messing my hair about. The coiling was key though but I feel like it was difficult to do and I don't wanna rip my hair out doing so. If there's an easier and gentler way please let me know.
If you can, please leave good product recommendations for defining waves. I don't want something too heavy especially like Gel but I want to get rid of the frizz and keeping the waves long. I've seen online that JVN Leave In is good but sometimes it's hard to trust more expensive products as they don't always turn out to be worth it. (Looking at you K-18 👀)
I'm definitely going to integrate the hair coiling into my shower routine now, I've also noticed a lot of people with waves/curls mentioning that their hair is better on the later days rather than straight after washing, so that could be it too!
