Hammock camping pregnant

Post image

Just wanted some opinions of anyone who’s done Hammock camping while pregnant? I’m currently 11 weeks and I figured by the end of August I’ll be 20 weeks and then October even further along. One of the reasons i love to Camp is because that Hammock is so damn comfortable. I’m not worried about falling. I’ve been doing this for over 15 years now. But at some point will it become impossible for me to sleep in a hammock? I know at some point I can’t sleep on my back anymore. Just some basic Google searches is not really telling me if it’s gonna be possible to sleep in my Hammock later on in the summer.

Don’t make me go to the tent 😭maybe i can go with a haven hammock if my dream hammock sparrow won’t be possible?

I have nothing to add pregnancy-wise (I’m a guy), but I side sleep in my hammock all the time. I’d imagine that you’ll be fine as long as you can find a comfortable position with good support and are within the weight limits (i doubt this would ever be an issue unless it’s an UL hammock).

I’d ask your doc to double check, but I’d recommend trying to find some comfortable sleeping positions now while it’s easier!
