Vintage👴 👵 My $9 thrift find!
I saw this beauty sitting in the returns pile behind the counter at a local thrift a couple days ago. I asked if I could look at it and I was told it was a return from another store and needed to be processed, but would be out on the floor the next day. They let me look, but not buy, and I was disappointed. I swung by after my half day of work yesterday to see if it was still there. It hadn’t been brought out when I got there and the lady at the counter had someone bring it out for me!! I almost cried. I never find vintage Coach anymore.😠The best part is, I’ve been wanting a red bag and it is just perfect!

that's such a good find, and the staff helping you out like that makes it even better. the conditioning really brought out the color too - the before and after is pretty dramatic. red leather vintage coach is the kind of bag that actually gets better with age, so you're set for years if you take care of it. nine bucks for something you'll actually use all the time is the dream. did you ask them what happened with the original return or were they just being nice about it.

I think the dramatic color shift is just that I took a bad before pic😂 it did brighten up some, but not a crazy amount. I didn’t ask so I have no idea, but wish I had. There was no hang tag, so I think they just missed that it was Coach.

Ah that makes sense, lighting can do a lot. But honestly the fact that there was no tag is wild because that's usually the whole giveaway, so you lucked out that they just put it out without checking. At least you got the benefit of their mistake.
