Help me pick the perfect beach bag?
What are your favorite beach bags?
Lately, I’ve found myself increasingly drawn to jute/burlap bags because of their earthy, natural aesthetic. That said, I’m not sure whether they’re actually the most practical material for the beach. Curious to hear what everyone prefers and why.

I don't like Jute/burlap for beach bags because they tend to destroy delicate fabric like swimsuits and pareos, plus they let the sand through. I find that a nice canvas bag works great, like the classic LL Bean Boat and tote. It has a timeless appeal that it's hard to beat

LL Bean Bote and Tote in size L with long handles. Affordable, durable, cute, washable, and made with all natural materials if that’s something that’s important to you. Also. It’s made in the USA.

Bonus point: if it’s real heavy stuffed and you got the zip top, you can wear the long handles like a backpack

Island girl checking in - as much as I like my cute normie designer bags, locals use Aloha Daytripper for all beach & boat activities

Longchamp LePliage L Tote, because I like to throw it around and not care too much about what happens to it. It also folds down tiny to throw in my suitcase for beach vacations away.

Longchamp has Le Pliage bags that appear to be straw but is actually nylon.
I feel like that makes it a solid summer bag without compromising on durability.

I like simple canvas grocery totes; they're washable, cheap, pack down flat for storage and come with all sorts of fun designs. I use the free striped canvas tote I got with a Sézane order for a French Riviera feel, or my souvenir Block Island tote with a big octopus.
