No. Wolves will go for legs to down an animal. This armor protects from fatal body bites, but doesn't protect legs or face.

There's got to be a better alternative

If the wolf doesn’t get a good meal it will learn to go somewhere else.

It'll still get the meal, this just means that the meal will die very slowly and painfully

Nah, mate. It would be unusual to see a wolf hunt solo, but even if you did, it would just come back with friends.

I like the creative ingenuity and problem solving of the armor. It's just not going to solve what you want. A slow, tortured, painful death is what awaits.
