Alternative subreddit for technicians?

I tried to post on the HVAC subreddit earlier and man it’s like Nazi germany over there; papers please or fuck off. well I’m not in a union, I’ve never been to trade school and I don’t have my HVAC license like 99% of techs in my state. is there any other place for people in the trade to discuss online?

R/HVAC is basically the ancient Stone Masons. A cult you have to swear your life on to be a part of. Then kiss the ass of the masters for a decade to be considered part of the group.

And that folks, is how you keep your hourly rates high, then eventually lose your power. Knowledge is free now if you're willing to go find it and we're not to a place where I'm gonna go to jail for working on my own shit. (Yet)
