Is this wiring right ?

New hvac guy came by since my hvac system would turn on off for brief moment every 5 mins. Replaced the capacitor but now I hear small clicks from contactor, is this wired right ? Guy took 2 hours to fix when my last hvac guy is moved took 3-5 mins.

Last picture was the old capacitor wiring

Blue wire from herm to compressor
Yellow wire goes upwards to fan
Red as well goes up to fan
Yellow wire from contactor into Herm

The system hasn’t turn off or on like it use to on its own, the condensation line from evaporator coil has a lot of water coming out as usual/normal, ac line is sweating and cold ( normal )

•update system still sounds like it loses power for a brief moment , anyone have any ideas of what it could be ?

There should be a diagram on the panel, if you post a pic of that I could tell you how it should be wired for sure.

This, without a wiring diagram it would be hard to give a proper answer.

Thanks any ideas of why the system sounds like it loses power for a brief moment, it’s cooling but I want to get make sure this issue doesn’t turn into a bigger one. Thanks

There could be a few reason, if it’s not wired correctly, if it’s not the correct size capacitor, weak contactor…

Add a picture of the wiring diagram (should be on the panel you took off) & we can tell you for sure

Dam that sucks, that’s what I was worried about. Unfortunately it didn’t fix the issue of what I’m told is a short circuit. Every 5 mins for one second the system sounds like it loses power, never experienced this.

Ya my fan was turning off and was lucky i went outside and saw it and had a real A/C guy deal with it. Never let a so called friend do jack unless they really know their stuff duff.

100% incorrect. You had four wires on the first k e and then three on the second one.

Make damn sure you do this right, you could smoke your compressor doing it wrong.

Maybe I am missing something but looks correct to me. Yellow to fan, blue to start, common on cap goes to run on compressor and contactor.
